Out of several companies that bid on repairing my roof leak, Brian Korens of Cal-Pac Roofing was the only one who had a clue. All of the other estimators were like, "well, we can't tell exactly what the problem is, but we'll do ___ and see if that fixes it." Brian was like, "oh, yeah, I've seen this a few times before, here's what's going on." Cal-Pac's bid was much higher than the other companies, but I thought it was worth it to get someone who knew what they were doing -- and I wasn't disappointed.

Although my metal roof wasn't installed by Calpac , our out-building had its ridge tiles dislodged in 75 mph winds. With forthcoming rain I was concerned with potential leaking. A friend put me in touch with Tom Sparling at Calpac. Tom never questioned who had installed the existing metal roof and quickly discovered it wasn't a very big job. Never the less he sent Brian Korens today to make the repair. With 20 years experience Brian did a super job correcting previous poor quality. Thank you Calpac.

It was a real pleasure working with Tom and his crew. Tom was with us from the beginning of the project to the end always quick to answer calls or e-mails and answer any questions we had. The crew worked well in taking off and putting on the new roof. There was no mess to clean up afterwards and they worked quickly and efficiently. A year after the roof had been installed and there was a rat in the attic (which is very common in this area), Tom sent out two of his crew to first set traps and then put up screening where it was necessary. We just got a new stone coated steel roof with Tom from Cal-Pac. He is one of the few in the area that install this product. Tom was informative and responsive prior to us hiring him. Price was competitive with other quotes we received. Work was completed on time and we love the result. (I can't comment on how it has held up because it is brand new)

Many thanks to Tom and his crew for doing such a great job on our roof, completed between rain showers! We contacted Calpac and a few other roofers when we had a leak and Tom’s bid was extremely reasonable, especially given the metal roof has a life expectancy of 50 years. Sal was able to patch our leak until they had a window to do a full tear off and re-roof. Tom dropped off a sample of the Boral steel material for us to see before we finalized our choice to make sure it matched well with the house. My house has metal tile roof which was laid out by Cal-Pac way back in 2001. When I bought the house in 2017, the tiles were still in excellent condition. But the gables and Fascias were deteriorating due to dry rot. So I contacted many roofing contractors but no one willing to work on it. Finally I got in touch with Tom and got a quote. His crew did fantastic work. They finished the job on time and also did some extra work on my request. I would definitely recommend Cal-Pac to all my friends.

We purchased our house coming up on six years ago. During the inspections, we were told we had between three and five years left on the existing roof. As those years passed by, I noticed more and more exposed fiberglass edges when pulling into the driveway. I thought everything was fine with my roof, but not. Let's start when I checked out the roof after it was completed, caulking tubes were in the gutters. Then I noticed water stains on my ceiling. Found out from the guy who fixed the roof that Cal Pac workers did not properly install the roof around the fire place, thus water stains on my ceiling. Now i find out some of the wood under the roof is failing. I will have to replace the wood and replace the effected parts of the roof. Apparently, on some parts of the roof, longer pieces of wood was needed but the workers used the small pieces

Our heavy shake roof badly needed replacing and we did not want composition or cement tile. A neighbor had a rock coated steel which looked very attractive. Conversations with the neighbor about the installation left us unsure about their supplier ability to do the job right.
We used Yelp to find a roofer with high marks and we contacted Cal Pac and the owner, Tom. Tom responded immediately and showed us exactly the right steel tile for our job. We were satisfied with Tom's price quote for the entire job.

We had Tom Sparling and his crew install a SteelRock stone coated metal roof at our house in South San Jose. He was very professional and came to our house to show us how the roofing product works and also suggested the use of the best solar L-brackets to use with this type of roofing product so that you end up with no roof penetrations associated with the solar racking system. Tom even included the labor of installing of the solar roof hooks with the whole system. We had to order the correct number of roof hooks and tell Tom and Sal exactly 1) which rafters to install them on and 2) between

We just needed a minor correction, some sealing of nail heads on our roof, Western Roofing didn't do a complete job for the previous owners of our house. The permit wasn't finalized, after chasing around Western Roofing, without single returned call, I contacted some others.
Tom of Cal-pac was etremely busy due to the winter season, but told me he would be able to complete the sealing of the nail heads in 2 to 3 weeks. I contacted him 3 weeks later and he scheduled the repair for the next day, it went smoothly and permit finalize by the city.

I bought a old 70's house this year and the roof was in pretty bad shape and needed to be replaced rather than just repaired. I called a few roofing companies and went with Calpac Roofing due to their professionalism, pricing, and history. They did not disappoint me at all. They clean after themselves everyday during the construction. The roofing replacement went very smoothly and the new roof looked great.
