My wife thought she saw good ratings, so we got a bid and signed a contract to have 3 rooms in basement plus stairwell painted. They showed up when promised, but things went downhill from there. Even though we had clearly agreed with Al on 2 coats, the crew only put on one coat. Lots of skips, missed spots, and entire walls in which old paint was showing through. Looking back at the bid, the indicated amount of paint was too small, so that may signal something other than a crew-specific problem. Worse than you can imagine. Alone the fact that NOTHING ruffles Al's feathers is an indication of the fact that he is used to ignoring complaints. After 18 months of phone calls and in the end more botched work rather than corrections we got a small refund, but it's nothing compared to the cost of needing to fix the paint that is peeling off the exterior (the WHOLE house needs to be repainted) and paint that needs to be removed from furnishings inside. We gave them 2 referrals and both of those jobs were awful, as well.

Chuck..You must be the quite owner..Never met you..Al is a con man..I guess you trained him well..You screw your painters on money and you lie to customers about what paint you will use..And this one coat deal is misleading to everyone..Now if I was telling a story then why do you have so many people saying the samething???..Cant wait for next fractured fairy tale.

Before I begin my review of Those Painting Guys, l want to make it clear that Al had been good through out in terms of the responsiveness and professionalism, but his painter who did paint our house did the worst job ever. He left so many spots without even looking at them. Ruined our leather couch, carpet, floors and music system. When he was sent back to do the fix, his attitude was beyond my tolerance and I had to just say him bye bye then another painter came who also could not do anything appreciative. We just had reached our height of patience and were ready to move in without even looking

I am neither a competetior nor a sales person, I got this through money mailer, called and left a vm, no response then put in a request with the website , 2 days later guy called " Are you really serious in painting then I can come over there and give a estimate" - I said yes . He fixed a day 1 week later but did not show up.

We got a new home and wanted to get the painting done before we start living in the house. They were never on time and the painting was very sloppy. The tiny wall part behind the doors were let untouched. The side wall of our dining room was so messy. It was so bad that you can see all the brush lines. The ceilings were not properly done. Do not use or work for this company. They sub out all their work. They owe me $1000 and have not paid me. It's been 3 weeks now and they are still giving me the run around on paying me......Here it is over 4 years later and they reply to my review and still have not paid me.

The owner was very professional and flexible with scheduling. Also both owner and painters were very respectful and wanted to make sure we were pleased with the work. Great competitive pricing. Our job was very large so we separated it into 3 different dates. By the third date we had a different painter and I was a little concerned but they were on time and did a good job. I was also very concerned after seeing the earlier reviews but I had a pleasant experience and my entire house looks great.

Those Painting Guys provided the best estimate from the 4 obtained. Sherman Williams paint was used. Al was great to work with! He responded to all my texts timely and each time I spoke to him I felt well informed. My house looks great! I chose a door color I was not crazy about. This team made it right. In response to Chuck A of Those Painting Guys, he obviously is not aware of what goes on in his business or is fabricating stories.
There was never a date set to paint my house last year or this year until Al called me today. There were no last minute cancellations. Least he forget about the value he is giving his more deserving customers, he still has $600 of my money. If he can't figure out how to schedule painting my house then give the deposit back to me and run to his more deserving victims, oh I mean customers. Now it's scheduled for next week. Let's see what happens.

We hired this company because of the price and 8 year warranty. We had our house painted in 2013. It was c peeling the same year. They came out and did the touch up. Well I've been calling them for two years because the house looks worse than it did prior to painting. We have two years to harass them or take them to court. Chris your company didn't prep our house properly. So the reason we are having problems is that you hire people to paint who aren't house painters. You were rude to me in the phone. I will definitely hire Those Painting Guys again! I found their coupon in a newspaper ad and scheduled an appointment. Al accomodated the only day I was available. He was professional and guaranteed the work to be paid once it is completed and according to my satisfaction.
They completed a 3 - day whole house interior painting project and I was pleased with the overall results considering that I've been a difficult customer for requesting them to change my original color selection (twice) which was already delivered and Al resolved my issue without hesitation by coordinating with the paint

We had a smaller job just a kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. Quote was better than 2 competitors. Easy to schedule they said it would be 3 guys and 2 days which I thought was a bit much. They never showed up the day as scheduled after we had prepped and removed everything from the walls, covered things, etc . We were told they had to finish up another job from the prior day. Not sure why 1 guy couldn't come start our job? So the next day the crew is supposed to show up at 7:30. Only 1 guy showed up and 9:30. He stayed to finish the job but was able to complete it that day. It was VERY messy

Al and Chuck are both con artist. They try to sell customers on 1 coat so they can con you into a 2nd coat for more money. Al doesnt pay his painters he low balls them and for some they get scammed so they never see it like me and many other. But we did great work and in 2 jobs had tips of 300 and the customers were very upset with Al he used the wrong paint so he can save money and also tried to scam them for extra money. His reviewz that are bad on home advisor he deletes cuz thats his main source of work. Dont hire or work for him he owes us over 1500 and now were just another couple ex employees

Al came out gave me a competitive quote to paint 2 bedrooms at the house. I called him up to schedule the work they were able to get out there in just a few days. They showed up on time and then this is were it all goes bad.

The painters I usually use could not complete a job and I needed it finished fast. Al showed up and quoted and it was considerably higher than my usual guys but I said go ahead. The crew that showed up to paint the kitchen, two walls of a bedroom and the furnace room floor managed to; leave tape for me to peel off in several spots of the kitchen windows, scratched a kitchen cabinet, got paint and dirt on the carpets because they neither used booties or laid down protection, left cigarette butt and plastic screw on the driveway by their van, did not remove the wall plate to paint around the light

Do not use this service for painting!!! The painter did a sloppy job. Got paint on the carpet, doors and paint fingerprints throughout house. The painter did a terrible job patching and sanding the walls. When I spoke with the owner, Al, he gave me excuses for everything. I demanded a painter come back to fix all the errors. Al gave me the runaround and several excuses for not finding an employee to come back out to fix it. Avoid this company at all costs. They underpay their painters and over charge the consumer. Found out the hard way today and the workers left my house after my house was prepped and painting started. The work I had gotten quoted for wasn't what the painters had on their work order. I called Al (manager/owner) to ask what was going on. The workers were subcontractors . They were upset with how much added work they would need to put in and they wouldn't get compensated. Not fair. I now have a unfinished project, out a down payment and lost time on my project.

Just had them paint my garage and south side of my house. Guillermo was the painter and he did an excellent job. He was very quick, did excellent work and cleaned up after he was done. I had read the online reviews and discussed them with Al, the owner when he did the quote. He promised me he was using different people and I would be pleased. I was.

I used them because I had a coupon. They gave me an estimate that was actually less than the coupon and said it was a firm price, not an estimate. However, be aware that there are a few restrictions, such as it was for three colors, and only one coat. Al warned me it might take two coats, and the five colors I chose would also be extra. So there were no surprises. The first day I was a bit concerned because they got off to a slow start, but they worked until 7. The next day they showed up with a big crew and got it all done. It looks good, I would use them again.

We hired Those Painting Guys to paint the exterior trim of our house. They quoted a competitive price but they did not cover my new deck nor my front porch so after the painting job was completed, I was left with white blotches of paint everywhere on my newly finished deck and front porch. Over promised and under delivered. I waited on a partial refund (negotiated with Al) and ended up challenging the entire payment with my credit card provider. That was the only way to get our money back for the poor service. According to Al, his partner handles the finances. Every time I asked to speak with the partner I was ignored.
Don't be fooled by the low-estimate, foot-in-the-door sales.
