As President of our HOA at Alcala de Rancho Santa Fe, a 122 home gated townhouse development, I want to compliment John Kensla on a superb job in designing our full pool area re-design as well as our new front entry and Fountain. In addition, John did a detailed mapping of our lighting and plumbing in our entire development.
His creativity combined with his timely results were outstanding. I would recommend John without hesitation. I give the highest compliments to Infinite Sky! John did an excellent and competent job of designing a large landscape project for our property. This included back and front designs. The job included a complex combination of stone work and plant arrangements.
He has excellent knowledge of native plants and the mix turned out to be perfect. The landscaper followed his detailed plans with some modifications. The job turned out beyond our expectations.

Services
Some contractors may sell you with a 20-40K+ improvement with a verbal and/or even a very rough concept but when your project is all said and done and you don't like the turn-out or feel you've gotten your money's worth, it'll be too late. It's better to have a well-thought out and refined design in place that you've personally worked through the design process with a professional so you can get on paper a final design that you are happy with.

Mr. John is incredible! His designs are very well put together, impressive and professional, you will get an incredible amount of detail that many fail to implement on landscape designs and very thorough in explaining all of the ideas he comes up with! Definitely recommend working with him!

John is amazing! I have absolutely no creatitvity and no vision so I knew I had to get someone to help with the design of my front yard. All that I knew was that I wanted low maintenance and he put all of the peices together for me. I didn't know what to expect but when he created his layout and drawing I was blown away. He took so much time explaining to me what each plant, rock, tree, boulder, and paver were that I could actually picture the whole yard in my head with the help of his pictures of plants and design drawing.

I am so glad we went with John and Infinite Sky Landscape Design. We just got our final plans/design and we are blown away. He was so easy to work with, communication was excellent, he provided lots of good insights and ultimately came me up with the perfect plan for our backyard. We cannot recommend John enough.

After first meeting with John to explore options, I hired John for a design sketch of our backyard with recommended plants and trees, colors, sizes, costs, etc. the service was very effective and cost efficient. Helps visualize options and finished product - able to take design sketch, suggested cost range, and seek bids with contractors for installation.

John Kensla is a top notch landscape designer with excellent artistic abilities. His communication is fantastic and he has a wonderful knowledge of plant materials and space planning. His designs are a balance of functional and creative and his presentation is as good as it gets. I have worked with many professional concept designers and John's professionalism shows through from the minute you meet him. He follows each project, regardless of size, through to completion and his attention to detail is fantastic.

I recently received my final design plan from John and am happy with the way it turned out. John was very enjoyable to work with which made discussing and planning the design something to look forward to rather than stress about. We had a lot of requests/concerns and John was great at listening to all and finding solutions/adding useful input on cost and feasibility.

John is a landscape designer with a unique vision. He listens to the client but ultimately has a very strong passion for design and is able to steer the client towards a direction that is sort of like a foundation of Harmony.
He’s got a great team who specializes in drainage and also a great team that specializes in plants, He is also there to kind of oversee the whole process from start to finish.
I would highly recommend infinite sky landscape design!!!

Really enjoyed working with John on a new backyard design in Point Loma. We wanted a drought tolerant Japanese garden in place of an overgrown yard. John developed a beautiful plan that incorporated a cornucopia of color, texture, and function. He also itemized the potential cost of everything so we could pick and choose options to fit our budget. He's very easy to work with and really knows his plants. His fees were on par with his level of experience and are paid progressively as the design is finalized

John Kensla is simply THE BEST! I had been wanting to overhaul my backyard for several years and was just unable to figure out what to do with it/what would look good. John came in and had a fabulous vision! He took the couple of ideas that I had and ran with it. I was blown away at just how perfect his design plans were! He had a good eye for design as well as an impressive knowledge of flowers and plants. The cost for plans was fantastic! John exceeded EVERY EXPECTATION that I had!
