He had no problem showing me how the new equipment worked, and wasn’t running for the door as soon as he finished the install (unlike so many other companies out there). Mech Tech was the only company I found that services gas fireplaces. My gas fireplace quit lighting a few days before Christmas. The fireplace was going to be an important part of creating a holiday atmosphere for Christmas dinner. Scott Hale arrived the day after my call and quickly knew what the problem was. The fireplace is over 5 years old, and it's doubtful it had ever been cleaned and serviced by the previous homeowners. Jake Pereira quickly responded to our call on Sunday when our furnace's circuit board failed. He kept us going with our gas fireplaces for one day as he had to obtain a circuit board from a dealer the following day (which Taylor installed). We were pleased with the service by both gentlemen.

I called them to have my fireplace worked on. They got someone out the next day. Julio came to work on the fireplace. He was professional and kind. He answered all of my questions. As an added bonus, I love that he wore shoe coverings and laid down a mat to work over. I would recommend.

The representatives came on time and checked out the gas fireplace that would not turn on. They cleaned it, fixed a wire problem and checked everything. They were quick, efficient and cleaned up and asked if I had any questions. I would recommend them to anyone.

They just helped me on a Sunday of a Labor Day weekend which was almost a 100 degree day - inside and out. I called other places that were not open, couldn't return my call until Tuesday, or wanted $150 holiday charge. They were out within hours. Our AC went down and Mech Tech was able to have someone out the next morning and a quote the same day. They were willing to work with us
and our budget and gave us a good low cost alternative to replace just the compressor, as well as discuss the pros and cons of whole new unit vs just the compressor. We called 3 other companies - all were significantly more expensive for a full unit replacement and would not give us a price for just a compressor. Jake and Taylor were both very knowledgeable and professional.

I was initially grateful for what I thought was honest service, because he told me our furnace was "surprisingly healthy for its age."But, the next day the pilot light was out, and then there was a gas leak several weeks later. The serviceman from Intermountain Gas told me that the leak was most likely due to the age of the unit. He assured me that the furnace was in great shape and just the milivolt gas valve unit needed to be replaced (and that it was a universal part and should cost no more than $500). I got my AC unit fixed same day as appointment. The tech was an awesome guy. He was super fast and honest! Would highly recommend anyone to go to them. Don't be intimidated by the 5$ more on the diagnosis because they roll it into the repair.

Friendly reliable, Jake has a comprehensive approach to fixing your problem. He has worked on several of my properties on more than one occasion. He keeps his appointments and I have seen nothing but benefits from the work he does. I wish he was a plummer as well.
