When properly prepared and applied lime wash and mineral paints can be used inside the home on numerous types of surfaces for a beautiful and natural finish. Mineral and lime based paints and finishes act as a passive air filter inside the home absorbing CO2 and cleaning the air. A truly environmentally conscious and carbon neutral paint for your home!
Lime wash is a beautiful old world finish for brick, stone and other masonry surfaces. It offers a solution for beautifying masonry without the damage caused by acrylic-latex paints applied over masonry. Depending on application Lime Wash is a one or two coat solution (or more if desired). ServiceFirst Painting offers three distinct styles of lime wash that can be applied and combined for custom artistic effects.
ServiceFirst Painting excels in the painting of brick, stone and other masonry surfaces. In most cases we use ROMABIO's Masonry Paint, which is a mineral based paint that has a similar molecular structure to that of brick and masonry. The paint is permeable, breathable and highly UV resistant. In most cases mineral paints are a superior option to traditional acrylics on masonry surfaces.
Problem: Many of our customers will decide to change the color of their stucco in order to update the appearance of their home and improve the drive-up appeal, even if the stucco has no problems. Solution: Stucco usually comes pre-colored and does not need to be painted. If applied well stucco can last decades without needing significant repair or maintenance.
Lime Slurry is a high end finish made of a fine or medium grain lime plaster brushed on in multiple coats. It can also be final coated with either a mineral paint if uniform color is desired, or a lime wash if more movement and color variation is preferred. We use Domingue Finishes P1 and P2 Plasters to create a beautiful and unique slurry finish on your brick or stone.
