Jerod, the new owner, along with Tom were great to me when a spring broke on my very heavy, hurricane rated double wide garage door. Jerod did all the leg work and administrative work to obtain the first replacement spring.
Unfortunately, a part of the spring broke on installation and a whole new spring had to be ordered. The replacement finally was delivered late on a Friday. Jerod called me and suggested that he could come out the following day, a Saturday morning, to install the spring and get our garage door up and running. I had a uniquely compact situation and Metro Garage found me the perfect overhead garage door for me.

My encounter with Thom Bee was not a very nice one. I have been a loyal customer of Metro Garage for over 20 years. I recently have listed my home for sale and found out that Metro Garge applied for a permit to do the work and never picked up the permit or close it with the county. The new buyer did a title search and found a lean against my property, because of the open and now expired permit application. I contacted Thom Bee to ask him to please help me with this problem and he refused. He told me that it was not his problem since he had just purchased this company in 2005 for its assets and

Be careful! Tom Bee is the long-time owner. But in his old age he has become very rude and aggressive. Maybe dementia is the cause. When he works by himself, he is unable to complete some repairs because he lacks the physical strength. I have used Metro for many years. But not anymore.

Thom Bee and his apprentice Jerod did a thorough job of investigating the issues associated with the installation of my new garage door prior to providing an estimate. No other contractor was willing to paint the new garage door prior to installation for a modest fee (I supplied the paint). The estimate provided was competitive with quotes I received from other Sarasota garage door contractors. I monitored the installation as it occurred and didn't detect any obvious corner-cutting. I have high hopes that the Hurricane Master door and LiftMaster garage door opener will last, but only time
