One Earth Landscape is a design-build landscape construction company in Boulder, Colorado. Our services include landscape design, landscape construction, irrigation, planting of trees and shrubs, garden maintenance, lawn maintenance and mowing, setting boulders, water features, masonry, low voltage outdoor lighting, fiber optic lighting, excavation and snowplowing.
Our work has focused on xeriscape designs, native plant selection, green construction and sustainable landscapes. We cover Louisville, Longmont, Lafayette, Broomfield, Golden, Superior and Lyons. James Zarka, the owner of One Earth was trained as a landscape architect and has been designing landscapes since 1978. Incorporated in 1993, One Earth has completed quite a number of landscapes for our customers in and around Boulder County.

I attempted to hire them to do a $15,000 landscape job. I Initially called back in March to get ahead of the spring planting season. Now in May after I sent them my plant list, drove my landscape plans to their office, made the time to have multiple in person, telephone and email communications they have abruptly canceled my install the week it was meant to occur. The communication has been rude (Cassie) and inconsistent.

I couldn't be happier with the work done by One Earth!
Everyone from the owner and office staff to the foreman and laborers did great work for me. They offered me options throughout the project, and changed direction when it made sense. They have a unique model for their fees that feels very fair to me.

We hired One Earth Landscaping two years ago to do a major redesign of our back yard (including building a porch around an inset hot tub). I got several quotes and designs, but I really liked One Earth's natural, xeriscape, Colorado native plant taste, and aesthetic approach. They were absolutely terrific to work with. Over the years, I've had touch and go experiences with various contractors...some awesome, some horrendous, some sort of on time, sort of in budget. One Earth was one of the best. All irrelevant driving habits aside, these guys did an awesome job. They removed some 40 HUGE juniper bushes from my property, stump and all. They gave me the lowest estimate. They did the work when they said they would. They had a man on site from 9 to 5 every day until the job was done. They did a great job (minimal disruption to the ground around the bushes).
Oh yeah, and the bill was exactly the same as the estimate. What more could you ask for? All in all I'm very pleased.
