The Technical representatives Chris and Vince Knight came out to identify a fault with the gas, instant water heater. He was quick to respond, on time, professional, left the workplace clean and dealt with the manufacturer well. Highly recommend the man and the company. Both were professional and seemed to identify the problem, which still needs to be addressed following additional work from Consumers

When one contracts a company as a 1st time customer, one never knows what to expect. But from the first onsite visit from McCarver, I felt assured of great industry knowledge and workmanship. Scheduled quickly and though Kyle was young, he had a deep understanding of this industry, applied that to our situation, which I found very informative. Soon after, within a day or two, Chris McCarver visited and recommended not only a terrific replacement unit but could easily recognize what prior contractors chose to ignore here. We hired McCarver Heating and Cooling to install a new system for our sunroom. What we found was a company that was easy to work with, knew their craft and their product. They exceeded expectations on delivery time. On installation day, the crew was professional, courteous, and clean. I would highly recommend them.

Unfortunately extremely difficult to get a response after months of chasing and a personal visit to their facility. The work that has been provided in the past is good quality. If you can get a response and a date then you most likely will be happy with the work.

Vince came out same day to look at our AC unit that had stopped working overnight. He was a pleasure to work with and had our AC fixed and cycling successfully in less than 30 minutes. The lady in the office was absolutely lovely to work with over the phone - very professional and courteous. At our request, McCarver is also providing us with a quote to replace all our units (AC, furnace and water heater) as everything is over 33-years-old and, miraculously, still working...for now. Yikes!!

Incredible! We were left to fend for ourselves in a 90 degree house for 10 days before we had to get window units to survive the summer. Our system is a 42k Mitsubishi mini split system that had many issues . There was a leak in the system somewhere that had drained refrigerant. The owner Chris showed up personally to assess. Shows that he really cares about his companies success. They found the leak and got the replacement unit on order. 2 of the other units had a drainage issue that is now fixed . The house feels great again and time to take the back up window units out cause I trust their work

All our systems needed to be replaced after our basement flooded. McCarver was quick to respond, knowledgeable and professional. Teresa at the front desk is a gem - great communicator and wonderful liaison between us and the techs. My husband and I highly recommend Chris and McCarver Mechanical. When you live in a house without ductwork, thinking about installing air conditioning can feel overwhelming. We were very concerned about how it might affect the architecture of our house. With McCarver, there were no worries. They ran everything through walls and ceilings. They did not run anything through our closets. Everything is hidden and the house's architecture is untouched. UPDATE 12/22/2020:

McCarver has tried to fix things after our review and refunded us the amount charged for the thermostat.
The company tried to understand our issues and clearly took our complaints seriously.
Our biggest concern was the communication in regards of the work that will be done and the related costs. We also understood that the service call fee would include the diagnosis of the issue and only the necessary repair would be charged extra. The company should make it clear when making the appointments that the service call fee is a charge to get someone out to your house and the diagnosis

The McCarver team showed up on time and did an outstanding job of analyzing my problem. They were knowledgeable and professional. I would recommend them to others and if I have more problems with my furnace, will not hesitate to call them again.

I'm very happy with the equipment they installed, that is 5-stars all the way. It works very well, is ridiculously quiet, and the install is beautiful; a work of art, just check out the photo.

We just had them back out to install a new ductless mini-split system to cool our home and their work was, yet again, top notch! They were prompt in coming in and providing an estimate, helped match us with an electrician to get power to the unit, provided us consultation to help ensure we got a unit that would suit our needs today and tomorrow without overpaying, and then did another beautiful

Would highly recommend them. We had an AC issue and not only got a technician out on a Saturday, but got the owner Chris. He diagnosed our issue quickly and explained in detail all of our options. Didn't try to upsell anything.

We then had them replace our AC and to our surprise, with a cancellation they got to it within 4 days. The instal team was a different set of employees, but the lead had a lot of experience and the team was very professional. Kept us abreast on everything and were extremely nice to talk to.

My air conditioning motor stoped working while we're experiencing a heat wave. I had trouble finding someone to come out sooner then 1 to 2 weeks and was worried about being taken advantage of. Called McCarver Mechanical heating and cooling and the lady said she would check to see when someone could come out. She returned my call after 10 minutes saying someone could come out later today! Their technician arrived during the estimated time, fixed the issue within a reasonable time and charged a fair price. I'm very happy with the complete service. I will recommend this company to all

Adam from McCarver Mechanical Heating & Cooling came to do a tune up on my old style radiator heating system in a duplex I own in Detroit. The tune up was $175 (different than the standard heater) and he found some work that needed to be done to allow the heat into one of the rooms that wasn't getting heat - valve repair ($250). He did also learn on a subsequent visit that the duplex has two boilers and the piping was stupidly put in has some pipes from the lower unit going to the upper unit and visa versa. In other words, it is controlled downstairs by the lower level tenant instead

Called before arriving as promised. Which was about 2 hours after calling them.
Arrived at beginning of time frame.
Diagnosed problem.
Gave price.
Replaced what needed to be replaced.
Fixed another problem.: Water leak: plugged drain.
Gave assessment of furnace and its parts. Air cleaner, humidifier, blower.
All good. They are my go to for furnace/ac.

It was a Saturday afternoon and one of my rental units suddenly had no heat. I called 5 or 6 companies before I connected with McGarver Mechanical Heating and Cooling. Christine the receptionist was able to contact Adam the technician who was on his way home. Adam turned around and came and inspected rhe furnace. He discovered that one of the heating tubes was cracked as it was an old furnace ( I knew It was at its end of service and the time had come) . Adam was able to offer me a reasonable price on a new Bryant furnace ample for the square footage. He was professional and showed understandong

Fact: This company threatened legal action for my negative Yelp review. They didn't feel I was honest about my experience in my initial review. I disagree completely.

Very happy with service. I called because 2nd floor Was way hotter than first floor and return air ducts didn't seem to be doing anything. They were able to fit me in pretty quickly after my call, and we had to schedule another follow up appointment and they got me in the next day. And, they let you know when they are on the way. Chris was very professional and knowledgeable, and found/fixed problems in AC ducts. He also made some additional recommendations to have ducts cleaned/examined in case there are blockages (another company does this). $260 total. Will call them for future service

45 minutes before my appointment on a Monday morning at 10am, that I had to take time of work to accommodate they called and had to push it back. They offered no discount or remedy, only they were sorry. Unprofessional no consideration for other people's time or schedule. Office manager was rude on the phone and did not care about my situation. Would never use them again. I suggest you do your business elsewhere they do not care about customer satisfaction. I own multiple homes and will tell my other rental Home owner peers to be wary of this establishment.

They quoted me over Yelp for a new water heater. Estimator was professional, estimate was accurate, and workers didn't complain about the basement. Looked like a good, incredibly clean installation.

Edit: Used them again, this time for an ancient furnace blower motor. Good experience as usual.

Although this is my third review of McCarver Mechanical, my star rating hasn't changed. I thought I'd write an update for those of you who were curious how my HVAC story ends. I know, this story is very riveting.

Ian did a fantastic job on the new furnace installation back in November. Everything is running wonderfully. Better yet, my home was very warm throughout the winter. I came home from vacation to my furnace not working and the temperature of the house at 45 degrees. I called McCarver after a quick Yelp search, and they came out within 3 hours. The tech quickly found the issue, showed me exactly what had happened, and was back out the door within 10 minutes to go buy the part I needed. Within an hour, the part was replaced and I was all set.

Unfortunately, the heat stopped working again after running for about a half hour even though the set temp wasn't reached yet. I gave it another half hour to turn on, and when it didn't I called McCarver back

This place is OFF THE CHARTS amazing. I worked with Sul over a period of about 3 weeks. Our Air Conditioner was failing intermittently and he worked so diligently to determine what was wrong with our air conditioner without randomly changing out parts.

First, in order to keep track of the timing of the issues he gave me his personal cell phone number and asked me to text him whenever it failed.
