Founded in 2005, Johansen Construction Company has emerged as one of the premier regional Heavy Civil Contractors in the greater Seattle area. At the heart of this success has been the men and women who have not only grown with the company over the years but who have joined our team to help enrich and diversify our organization.
In 2005 Jalen founded what was then Johansen Excavating, Inc. Since then he has worked tirelessly to build a company and culture where people know that their individual contribution is not only valued, but greatly appreciated, and respected. Having grown up around the logging and construction industries Jalen has a deep appreciation and love for the men and women who help build not only our projects, but our company.
Johansen Construction Company (JCC) prides itself in playing an active role in building complex road and utility projects that help improve the communities that we live in. JCC's ability to self-perform critical work elements on each of the projects we build is a large contributing factor to the successful delivery of a finished product that everyone can be proud of.

Horrible. These people have been working on 85th Street in Kirkland for close to a year. We have not had a safe driveway for over 6 months. There seems to be a lot of standing around and not accomplishing anything. First they hit a gas line, then almost took out our phone cable. The driveway situation is dangerous. They have not provided a sign to show we are open for business and here is the entrance to our parking lot! And what about a traffic person with a stop sign to let our clients/employees in and out of the parking lot? How much longer will this project go on????
