Welborn Garage Doors
Never pay more than you expect! No hidden fees. No surprises. We show you the total price up-front, before we start the work! We are so confident in our pricing, that on any service and repair work we'll match any price from any of our competitors, as long as they're using the same materials, same scope of work, and they are insured.

Please call office for other details. Don't wait for a garage door or gate repair! We arrive in fully stocked vehicles, ready to assess and fix your service issue the same day! Call before 10am and we'll arrive at your doorstep the very same day! Service when YOU need it! I'd definitely recommend! Very professional!

Called on a Saturday because my garage door wouldn't open due to a broken spring. They returned the call and came within the hour at no additional charge for Saturday service. Fixed the problem and explained maintenance. Will call again when needed! Very happy with this service. Wasn't sure why my garage door wasn't opening and after calling several other companies Welborn showed up to diagnose the problem for FREE.
Services
Welborn is a top rated garage door and gate repair company in the DFW Metroplex. We have more trained technicians and more satisfied customers than any other garage door company in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. As we've focused all of our efforts on providing expert service and extraordinary customer service, we've picked up some awards along the way!
Welborn Garage Doors repairs and services all brands of garage doors and openers. We can fix broken springs, doors off track, doors not closing, add support to bent sections, and even program remotes. Our skilled technicians will take care of all your garage door service and repair needs. In most cases, they will be able to repair your garage door or opener during your consultation.
From practical builder's grade to beautiful custom solid wood doors, we have what you're looking for. The garage door is frequently one of the most prominent features on a home, and selecting the right garage door can dramatically improve your home's market value. On most houses, the cost of replacing an outdated garage door is significantly less than the value it may add to your house.
The garage door spring - not the opener - is what allows a 200-pound or more garage door to be lifted with ease. Springs counterbalance the weight of the garage door, allowing the opener to easily glide the door open and shut. If you were to lift your door by hand, it should feel like it weighs only a few pounds.
There are many reasons a garage door could come off track. If your garage door ever becomes partially detached, stop operating it and call us immediately. The springs, cable, and hardware system is under tremendous tension and must be properly counterbalanced before beginning any repairs. Attempting a DIY repair could result in serious injury or death.

I last used Welborn in 2013 and was so impressed with their performance and pricing that when my garage opener motor popped and started smoking, I called them again for help. I got a 1 day turn-around to have my system diagnosed and had same-day repairs and install completed in less than four hours. The new unit is considered top-of-the-line in the industry and prices for labor are absolutely fair! Richard came out and answered all of our questions and left us feeling confident that we made the right decisions for our needs and our budget. From initial call to completed work in less

Welborn gave me a quote to replace two springs for $990. It seemed high so I did a quick google search and they were way out of range. I sent them away and got it done for half the cost.

I had Welborn come out to give me a quote to replace my garage door and I had a very specific brand and style of door that I wanted, that I had purchased previously. First off, like many of the other reviews, the $99 charge they want to charge to come out to give a quote is ridiculous. (They will waive it if you speak to a service manager). This charge is to make sure you go with them and not shop around. I would shop around, especially since the quote they gave me (only on an ipad in person, nothing in writing) was 6x the price that I had gotten previously. (Yes, you read that right, 6 times

I had Roshon Norice and he was good, honest, and a straight to the point dude. Fixed my garage after other techs said I need a new garage. Would not hesitate on using Wellborn again

Unless they can convince me otherwise I will not plan on using them in the future. $99 trip charge is not right if you ask me. Especially if repairs or new items are added. When I inquired I was told other companies would just roll that charge into the repair cost. Plus they say they offer a 39 point inspection as part of that fee. The inspection will of course induce sales opportunities for them. On top of that they were here 5 months ago so that seems bogus to inspect again. This time I had to have new I-Beams (the door stop lights) for a one-year old Liftmaster(installed by Welborn) installed

$99 service fee for a trip charge. It's not a trip charge. It's a high pressure sales job. Just needed to have the unit reprogrammed and they don't do that unless you but the maintenance service. Over $400 + they don't waive the trip charge. Total scam.

Had Wellborn come out to quote new springs and motor after hearing advertisements on the ticket. The technician gave us a quote of $3,300 for all the parts and labor. He told us not to worry because insurance would cover it. Knowing this was not an insurable claim. I had another company come out and quote the same work and motor. Their quote was $1,200.

Do yourself a favor and get another quote because these guys need to pay their advertising bills at your expense.

Decided on calling Welborn after hearing their ad on The Ticket because one of my springs to my garage door broke. I know now the the $99 service fee is charged because they know they will get that even when you ask them to leave after getting their estimate...I mean their upsell. For ONE spring to be replaced they asked for OVER $1K. I had researched and already knew it should not cost more than $300. I would highly suggest you skip Welborn and call a local garage door company in your area instead. I found one up the street from me and over the phone, they were able to give me an estimate

Service was good but the price was extremely high. $571.95 after a $79 coupon. The service man was there only about 2 hours. No parts included. I was told the service call ($99.00) would be waived if they did the work but it was not. Again, my repairman was great........ It was cost.

Welp! Well, Welborn has woefully waned over the years.

The first concern is the $99 fee they charge just to come out and take a look. Of course it is forgiven if you use their services but seriously, how often would you cancel and lose that $99? It's a common psychological ploy of some businesses to force you to do business with them. I do not like that.

After hearing about the $99 fee that prompted me to view their reviews on here, leading me to my second concern... bad reviews. Yelp is semi-decent in presenting accurate reviews of a business (of course, Yelp has a LOT to improve, but compared

I feel scammed. Welborn came out today to repair the garage door and did an assessment of my garage system. I knew the service charge would be $89. The tech found a cable that needed replacing and said it would be $600. He repaired the cable and I paid $800 with the service fee. I didn't know how much it should cost to repair the cable but something didn't seem right. I have checked and a cable repair should be no more than $200. I don't know why this company charges so much but I would advise not calling them. There are cheaper but still competent alternatives out there.

Tech showed up and was polite and easy to talk with, but his quote was OVER twice what other companies were....same equipment, same repair/replace. Difference, he, because of his training, offered to call his "boss" to see if he could give me a better deal...really? I asked, "what's your boss going to offer me"...to which his reply was "well, we have some $50 off coupons, and even some $100 off coupons". Really...so that brings it down from $850 to $800...they charge $31 each for replacement nylon rollers...the folks that did the work...charge $8...I agree

I had a spring snap on one of my 3 garage doors. Welborn quoted me $1200+ to replace one spring. One phone call later, i found a guy who did the same job for $220--AND he serviced my other two garage doors as well for that price. Welborn are thieves.

I am giving one star because there is no option to not give a star at all. Today I had them come to my house to fix my garage door. One of the torsion springs has broken. I called and a woman named Nadia answered. I told her my problem and asked her what the charge would be. She gave me no response or redirected the conversation. She said they could have a technician in the afternoon. To replace torsion springs in most cases is a $200 - $400 job that takes a trained technician 1 -1 1/2 hour to complete. He told me that I would need to pay the dispatch charge no matter what and that it would cost

I usually don't give negative comments, but I felt it was necessary this time. I called and inquired about getting a tune up on my garage door. I asked the price and was told it would be $89.00. The girl said something about the technician's fee. She said if anything needed to be fixed, they carried any supplies needed in their truck and would advise me first of the price. When the tech arrived, he told me it was $219.00 for the tune up, plus the $89.00 dispatch fee.The girl on the phone(don't remember her name) never mentioned the $219.00 fee. I was completely shocked. If I had

They are extremely high priced compared to other Dallas companies. Example-1,000 to 1,200 for a new opener. Other companies charge $398( got quotes--same brand and warranty)
They did service my current system and were very friendly and professional. Be sure to price shop. I am kicking myself for spending over $300 for maintenance when I could have got a new opener installed for 70 more.

Cody arrived on time for a maintenance visit and did a fantastic job. He walked me through the door's operation, how to keep the sensors clear and secured, how to override the remote if necessary, and other ways of using the door I never knew or thought to ask. He explained the springs and tested their current functionality then lubricated the door tracks and other components. The garage door closes far more quietly and smoothly than before, and I know significantly more about it than I did. There's no question I'll call Welborn when I need maintenance or repair or replacement. Outstanding

As everyone is saying - these guys are scam artists and try and charge you double or even more than what the price should be - don't let these guys in your garage

I'd like to follow and tell people some hard number facts -after I got Welborn out of my house I immediately called Open Up out of Hurst

They immediately sent a great tech over (free estimate-how a real company operates)
285 out the door for the exact same work I asked of Welborn - their 80 dollar estimate? Around 800

Great company, I requested a quote to get a door fixed, very prompt service and they keep you well-communicated as to who the technician will be and what time will be arriving.

Here are the reasons why I did not get it done:

* The first "NO-NO" was the dispatch fee, $70 just to come to your house and tell you what is wrong with the door. So NO FREE estimates, other companies would come to your door, tell you what is wrong with it at no cost.
* Prices are way above their competitors.
* Professional technicians but they are trained to just give packages and get whatever they can from

I called into Welborn Garage Doors in Plano for overhaul maintenance for my 2 car garage door. Within 2 hours I had a detail email of what time and what tech was being sent to my houses along with his picture, his work profile and certifications.

When Vester arrived as scheduled the next day, he investigated my issues and gave me three options to choose from; minor repair, temporary fix or something long term that would take care of my immediate popping noise and loud click when I opened the garage.
He was very detail on what was my issues and explained in a way I understood.
He was very professional
