Southampton Roads Construction began many years ago by founder, Robert ("Bobby") Jones. A native of North Carolina, his family moved here in the early 50's where his father worked for an asphalt company, thus began the family tradition. After running the day to day operations for nearly 50 years, he turned the company over to the next generation of the family, and he currently remains in an executive oversight role.
Southampton Roads Construction began purely as a paving company. However, after years of additional client requests, we began to expand our services by adding expertise to answer that demand. Today, while our primary focus is Commercial Paving, we like to think of ourselves as the"Turn-Key Contractor" for all your site solutions.
No matter the environment, be it the simplest residential sidewalk, a standard pool deck, or a decorative retail shopping center application, Southampton Roads Construction has the experience and expertise to complete the job. Our mantra is the "Turn-key Contractor" with the crews to handle all your site needs.
Asphalt as a product has a virtual "defined lifespan". Like most things you own, asphalt needs to be well maintained on a periodic, scheduled basis to extend the life and its quality appearance. If done properly, regular asphalt maintenance enhances the usable life of this resilient product. Environmental factors such as sun and rain have a greatly negative effect on asphalt.
In keeping with our "Turn-Key Contractor" offering, we have the experience to do ALL your site work.
