JRDV Architects is a full-service architecture firm founded in 2003 by a team of architects, designers, and developers who have worked together for many years on projects around the world. Its objective was to establish an entrepreneurial architectural practice focused on collaborating intensely with visionary developers who want to link strategic thinking to creative design, great places, customer loyalty, and brand distinction.

Despite its young age, JRDV is responsible for a large percentage of the most profitable and distinctive retail and mixed-use centers in the world. This success is due to being able to combine an intellectual framework for creating memorable places, branded identities, and business strategy with the specific design skills needed to move projects quickly from concept to reality.
Services
JRDV is an integrated practice that combines architectural design, urban planning, and development strategy. While Offering architectural design and development services, all of our work is based on creating a strong sense of place and context, whether it is a single building, a neighborhood, or an urban district.
Architecture of Place matters - It's not just about demographics anymore. It's about the psycho-graphics and culture of place. We live in a world where people have incredible choices as to where to live, and shop, and work and play.
Design is an integral part of the Business Strategy - Business-as-usual in the global real estate industry no longer works. We view our design process and our architecture as core elements of our client's business strategy. Markets are more complex, opportunities are international, customers are changing, costs are out of control, and future values have become unknowns.
JRDV's retail architecture is about creating authentic urban experience. Today the retail world has changed. We are seeing that in locations as diverse as Asia, Europe, the Middle-East, and in the US. Consumer culture is evolving, reflecting new aspirations and cultural zeitgeist. It has been pushed by the triple threat of discount commodity retail; the internet's infinite reach, availability, and selection; and of course millennials.
The world is building cities at unprecedented rates - at the same time, the planning and design profession seems to have forgotten how to create a livable city. Nowhere is this more prescient than in urban development throughout Asia. For the first time in history, more than half of the world's population will be living in cities, and this rate of urbanization is accelerating.
