Wel-Vant Construction Company has been serving the Tidewater area since 1987. This family business began with founder G.H. Puddy Sturtevant and continues nearly three decades later with his proven staff. We strive to create a living space that is beautiful, functional and practical. You should always do your homework before having work done on your home. For instance, does the contractor work out of his home or does he have an established office? How long have they been in business? It usually takes three to five years to establish a financially sound business. Can they provide references from customers?
At least one employee in any company working on renovation or remodeling projects in homes built before 1978 must be certified in new lead paint safety requirements. At Wel-Vant Construction, 90 percent of our employees are certified in the new lead safety requirements for painting and remodeling. Lead is a toxic metal that was used for many years in products found in and around our homes.

I was driving home from Home Depot on Military Highway, and getting on I64 when I had one of their drivers run me off the road because they were in such a hurry to turn off their next exit at Tidewater... if this is a reflection of their company I would avoid them! To me it means they think so little of the people in this world so they probably would not care about doing work for you.
