Howard Construction, Inc. is a family owned company serving the North Bay Area including Sonoma, Marin, Napa, Mendocino and Lake Counties. Owner and President Philip Howard is a Sonoma County native with a strong sense of community and a desire to help others realize their dreams. Philip credits his father and grandfather, both carpenters, with instilling in him a love of building.
As a teen he began working in the construction industry doing roofing. He spent years working as a roofer, developing his hands-on skills along with his ability to supervise and managing employees. In addition he became respected for his ability to provide accurate estimates to his clients. At 28, he became a full-time builder, joining a well-established company that provided high-end, new home construction, remodels, and commercial work.

We would highly recommend Philip Howard. He did a wonderful job with our remodel project. He was very reliable and communicated well with us during the whole project. He coordinated all the subcontractors, so the job ran smoothly and got done on time. Phil paid close attention to details and made sure everything was done correctly and that we were happy with the end result.

We lost our home in the 2017 Tubbs fire and were agonizing over the mountain of decisions and challenges we would be facing over the next few years as we rebuilt. We wanted to make sure we chose a contractor who would be transparent, easy to work with, and fair as we would be intertwined with him for the next several years. We interviewed several contractors before meeting Phil and his wife, Michelle, through mutual friends who had worked for him for years as subcontractors.
