I've used Thompson HVAC services several times and have always been impressed by their customer service. Every one there from the owners to receptionist and shop individuals have always been courteous, friendly and knowledgeable. When working on DIY projects and needed extra help, they've taken me to the shop and instructed me on how to assemble ductwork. You don't find this kind of assistance anywhere.

All of the team members were professional, efficient, and followed thru as promised. they also let me know when something wasn't possible. They gave me all of the possibilities of how to address the problem. They called ahead, and arrived in the narrow time frame laid out, which is very helpful. James, and the whole crew at Thompson Heating and Air Conditioning were exceptionally great throughout our custom project. They fabricated and modified a stainless steel hood and wall panels, for our food truck. The communication from beginning to end was excellent, the service was spot-on and the friendly interactions for the duration of the build were genuine. I highly recommend them!

I was told to get at least 3 estimates which I did for installing a new A/C system in my home in New Mexico. The final bid was from Thompson, which did not include any electrical hook ups, what so ever. In their email to me they recommended I call an electrician. I called and they said it could be up to another $1000.00. I decided not to go with them because it was a incomplete estimate.
I was kind enough to email Thompson back thanking them for their time, but declined their proposal and selected another candidate. I then received the following email response back.

I called on a Wednesday at 8:00 am and was put on the schedule for the following Friday between 12-4. I was happy I only had to wait two days since my AC was not working and it was in the 80's every day. On Friday no one showed up so I called. They had no record of my appointment. They never came. I checked my call log to make sure it wasn't my mistake. My call log showed their phone number and the date and time. It was not my mistake. Excellent service and reliability. Thompson stands by their products and we use them all the time. I needed someone to come out quickly to check out our new furnace and they were able to check things out the same day. Having retired from a several decades career as a construction superintendent building mid and high rise buildings in Los Angeles I have seen the extremes of both people and product in the industry. Since moving to Albuquerque I have utilized Thompson Heating & Air Conditioning for several HVAC related projects, each requiring expertise in fabrication and application. Thompson does a great, thorough job with our heating and AC needs. While not the least expensive HVAC service out there, they do a better job than others we have called. Anthony was the guy who came out last time and he was honest and informative about what we needed to do to get our AC working and our radiant heating unit closed up.

Listen, everyone and everything is uber expensive these days so we have to bite the bullet and pay the going rates---I love these guys, and they are the best as far as i am concerned BUT, why should i (all of us) have to pay their hourly charges when the tech has to wait for parts to be delivered to the repair location? Who makes $100/hr. waiting? I don't understand why they don't carry a large selection of parts with them when they know pretty much in advance what they will probably need

Prompt, polite and quick! I had a water leaking out of the air handler of my refrigerated AC unit, I called Monday they were able to come out the next day. The techs were on-time, very nice and had the blocked drain cleared out and back in order in 15 minutes. The cost was reasonable as well. I highly recommend Thompson Heating & Air Conditioning; I'll use them again. Thanks for the great service!

I bought a home with a roof top swamp cooler and replaced the complete HVAC system with refrigerated air and a new gas furnace. This required reconfiguring the duct system and this company has their own sheet metal shop that I visited. They also do much of the sheet metal fabrication for other HVAC companies who now doubt mark it up. They offered me several options in the type of equipment and the work was completed on time and professionally. They had to return for an adjustment to the vent system and digital thermostat and that was done at no charge. All this was completed in 2011 and the

Great, straight-up, old-school service to the home-owner community. I called 5 different places and none would work with anyone who wasn't a contractor. But these guys are happy to help you get it done. I brought them a drawing and got my part built in less than a day. A rarity in this town: baloney-free, timely service....with a smile, even!
