I have used this company several times and normally have a good experience. However, after this past move I will NOT use them nor recommend them to anyone ever again. They were unprofessional by overcharging more than what they quoted me and being late on the job. They made it seem like they were giving me a discount after breaking my glass coffee table but in reality they just hiked the price to take advantage by saying I had more things when I had just the same amount of furniture I had in my previous moves. In my past two moves, they never lost screws/pins as they were properly taped or secured

This company gets ZERO stars! Avoid them like the plague!!! RUN for the hills. They rope you in with a good price, but that doesn't matter when they decide not to show up to do the job. A family member called 48 hours in advance to confirm a move. On the day of we are waiting and no movers show. After almost an hour of being late, we give them a call....only to find out he took another job out of state and won't be back to this area until tonight. He also lied and tired to say we didn't confirm! Shame on JV Movers!!!!

So I hired this company for my move and in the beginning was highly impressed. They responded to my email quickly, were able to handle a last minute date change and even showed up on time.
The move appeared to be going smoothly so I left it to husband to oversee the rest of the move as I took care of some errands. My mistake here. Once all the furniture was in and the movers gone I arrived home to find my daughters bed damaged, my sons bed a complete support post broke and they just placed it under the bed to appear correct. My bed has torn leather and my shoe cabinet door is completely broke

Outstanding Service! Realistic pricing with no hidden costs. Jose and crew team showed up on time with two trucks and ready to work. Expeditiously, wrapped and moved all furniture without any issues. The team was extremely courteous, accommodating and professional. They quoted me for 8 hours and finished just at 7.5 hrs. Prorated the cost down to the penny. Would HIGHLY recommend their services to anyone.

Debated between giving a 2 and a 3. Maybe a 2.5. Very nice and professional movers but I thought it was quite pricey, $817 really?! Especially when on the day of the scheduled move, they asked if they could postpone until the next day.
This was a local move, let me be clearer: I moved from one apartment in my complex to another apartment in my complex. The new apartment was a few buildings down.
I understand I could have packed my stuff much better than I did but I still didn't expect to pay that much.
Lesson learned on my end.

We have used them twice and always will. Reliable and knowledgeable about disassembling and reassembling furniture, no questions asked. Minimal damage to items, only minor things like a wall ding here and there from a tight spot or tape pulling 'wood coating' off sections of furniture. The tape is necessary for moving and certainly way better a job than we could do alone or elsewhere. 5 stars def.

I can't speak highly enough about the professionalism and work ethic of our movers. They never took a break and worked with us on the time and request to get things out of storage after moving our condo to a 4 story town home. I would highly recommend their company. We chose them on a recommendation from a coworker.

Nothing was going right on my move day, EXCEPT JV Movers. They were accommodating to my schedule, they came on time, they were personal, and took good care of my furniture. It was so nice not having to worry about asking friends and family for help. I would definitely recommend this company and use them again!

I chose them because they quoted me a much better price than other movers and the move should have been easy - I literally moved across the street. They didn't arrive on time and they damaged my bed frame so that we had to buy a new one. It was an IKEA bedframe so the cost to replace it would have put the move in the range that other movers quoted me, but it was still a major inconvenience.

JV movers was every good thing!!! They showed up early and surveyed my apartment and came up with a plan of attack to get the job done in a smooth and efficient manner. They even finished before the time estimated to get the job done! If you're looking for quality movers without breaking the bank, this is the company you should choose!!!

Had To Choose JV Movers As A Second Option Last Minute They Came The Same Day I Called With Them Knowing The Bad Situation With The First Movers That Came Out "Fairfax Va Movers" As Our First Movers That Came Where A Joke I Dont Regret Chooseing JV Movers One Bit Very Proffesional They Wrapped Every Thing From Tvs To Furniture Moved Everything With Caution Never Asked For Helped And Never Heard Them Complain It Was A Three BedRoom Move From A Townhouse To A 3 Floor Apartment Complex Only Got Two Guys Since Everything Was Last Minute Since "FairFax Va Movers" Was Very Unproffesional

The guys are nice and the rates are cheap, but they are extremely slow. We had a two man crew to move a 2 BR apartment that my roommate and I had already spent a week emptying on out own. It took these guys 3 hours and 40 minutes just to empty the apartment, so I guess we blew by the 2 hour quote. They also folded my roommates mattress in half, and when I sake why, the response was "it's flexible, and it's a pain in the butt to carry it the normal way." And then at the new townhouse, they argued with me about whether a wall unit would fit up the stairs, before even moving it

I used JV Movers based on the recommendations from HomeAdvisor. My move went smooth although it was a little icy with snow that day, so the move took longer than expected. Jose was friendly and professional and offered to have a third person for my move, but I declined the option since I didn't want to pay extra. His son and another mover did a good job and nothing was broken, but I did end up paying more than my quote for the extra time that was added to my move.
