We had a leak under our house from the furnace. We called home warranty and they sent someone out who said we need a new furnace and AC. I called Craig for a second opinion. He came out to assess the damage and Brandon was able to fix the problem, costing only a fraction of the estimate I had received.

Iwai installed a new HVAC on the roof of our townhouse at the end of 2014. The unit works fine. The problem came when we would have heavy rains. We would get a drip coming down through the unit onto our carpet. We called them several times over the next 3 years when it would drip. They were not very responsive, but would eventually come out and put some sealing stuff on. Nothing worked. They eventually said it was probably the roof. Our roof repair people said it wasn't. Finally, in 2021 we called another HVAC company and asked them to evaluate it. They tested it with a hose and discovered

When our central heat didn't turn on right away, I called what I though was Benedict and Benedict, only to learn that they had been bought by Iwai Cooling and Heating. As a long time customer of the former company, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that Iwai also had the same high standards for customer service and efficiency. We have a six year old AC system. A few days ago, on the first really hot day of the year, the system came on, provided cold air for about an hour and then quit. The first AC company that examined the system said we needed a new condenser/compressor. I called Iwai for a second opinion. When the Iwai rep arrived, I explained to him that the fan at the top of the condenser/compressor turns slowly and the system just kind-of whines. The Iwai rep replied, "it sounds like a capacitor." Due to a cancellation I was able to get an appointment a day earlier than originally scheduled which worked out great because I happened to be home. Brandon came within the appointment window and took a look at my furnace which I told him I could hear dripping noises in between the a/c cycling. He unclogged the condensation drain pipe and rerouted it so it would pass in front of the air filter door panel. He also noticed that the fan blower seemed unusually loud when the a/c kicked in and discovered that one of the motor mounting bracket was missing a screw! He replaced the missing screw and

First let me say IWAI was very responsive in getting someone out to resolve my problem.

I'm a little disappointed, had IWAI come inspect, diagnose and repair my air conditioner. The technician informed me I needed 1 lb of coolant as I may have a small leak and we discussed having my air ducts replaced, which would also help with the cooling. After the coolant, the house began to cool and the air conditioner seemed to work fine. A few days later, at a cost of $1,500, I had IWAI come and replace all the ducts, with one request, take before and after pictures, which Brandon Iwai stated was

This review is long overdue, but well deserved. Early last winter, we noticed our central heating system wasn't generating warm air. It was apparent something wasn't functioning properly when we ran it for 3 hours set to 80 degrees, and nothing...our house remained at a cool 54 degrees. We had a full havoc system installed in out house by iwai one year ago. The job is subpar. Every room in our house is a different temperature with our bedroom being the hottest room. So we cannot sleep comfortably.

Because the airflow is so inconsistent we tried to turn off the vents in rooms we don't use. But the vents that they installed are just terrible. They are made if chap plastic and the knob broke when I tried to shut it off. So you cannot shut off a vent or even change the direction of the air flow.

The one star is for - Iwai has done good work for me before, and he respects households by taking off his shoes and I'm shallow and he's good looking but man... even if my old school parents love him, what good is a company if you can never get in touch with them? I mean, like other reviews say, you have to try for MONTHS.

Yelpers - sort by low star ratings...please. You'll learn a lot. Anyway...

Seriously - no one EVER returns calls. EVER. The answering machine is always on. Not good if you're trying to reach someone about service they warrantied.
