Customer service and quality of work was great. Everyone I communicated with was extremely nice and thorough. Diego fixed my leaking A/C, explained the issue, what he was doing to resolve it and how to prevent it from happening again. He was quick, efficient and very nice. Update on my review. After our first great experience with this company, I called them back to service our condenser, just a simple annual service. First, they rescheduled with me three times which was annoying but no big problem. Right after they serviced my unit, I woke up the next day to a burning hot oven of a bedroom. I went outside and my condenser had iced over. I called them and asked them to come fix the problem they caused. Excellent communication and service from start to finish. Joseph was honest and helpful over the phone and Darrell and Diego were professional and polite when they came and fixed a potential carbon monoxide issue with our furnace. They also charged about 25% less than a competing quote. Would definitely recommend for any of your HVAC needs.

What an amazing company! Many, many thanks to Joseph, Darrel and Diego for the outstanding work they preformed on my estate in Glendale. I have a guest house on the rental property and was told by other companies that the entire rooftop combo unit (AC/Heat) was old, couldn't be fixed and had to be replaced. After speaking with Joe and emailing him the photos of the system, he suggested sending out technicians to see if the unit could be repaired instead of being replaced (saving me thousands of dollars). Diego and Darrell were absolutely wonderful! They were honest, friendly, efficient and wore masks the whole time for safety. We have had 3 a/c companies come look at our unit over the past year and each one of them said it was unfixable and quoted an exorbitant price to replace it. Then Diego and Darrel came, told us it was a loose wire and an old run capacitor that they could fix and the unit did not need to be replaced. Within an hour we had working a/c and heat for a fraction of the cost. We are thrilled and will definitely be using Ability Air for any needs in the future!

I was very impressed with the care, concern an overall integrity of both of the technicians: Darrell and Ivan. Their overall professionalism and ability to withstand triple digit heat was remarkable. Didn't know why our air conditioning unit was draining so much water so we called Ability. They informed me when the technician, Rodney, was on the way and he arrived within his time window. Rodney was very pleasant and efficient. He explained to me the cause of the problem and rectified it quickly and neatly. Ability deserves their fine rating.

I called Ability for AC maintenance service since they had many positive reviews on yelp, and they were located close to our home (didn't want people to travel very far especially during COVID). We have not had the main Carrier unit looks at since we moved in 9 years ago, and thought it's about time. James was a delight: super cordial and easy to talk to. Very pleased with the service from Ability Air. From the start, Joseph who answered the call was very pleasant, straight forward, and answered all my questions. I needed someone asap to fix my a/c that wouldn't blow out cold air although the fan was running. Joseph seemed eager to help and was able to contact a tech to come out to my house within a few hours. BRIAN the tech was very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. He was able to diagnose the problem fairly quickly and switch out the capacitor which he had in his car...then out came cold air! To top it all off, I was pleasantly surprised

AC went down on one of the hottest days in August. My LL contacted Ability and they sent a tech to resolve the issue.
After explaining the problem, Rodney was quick to diagnose the issue and repaired the problem. He was very knowledgeable, professional, informative and friendly. I hope I don't need you guys out again but if I do, send Rodney!

I am so happy with the customer service I received today. My A/C stopped blowing cold air and I was able to schedule an appointment for the next day (it's busy season for broken A/Cs). James showed up towards the beginning of the two hour time frame they gave me, and he was so incredibly polite, friendly & knowledgeable. He was super sweet to my 18 month old daughter too. He figured out the issue, and thank goodness I have cold air again! I highly recommend this company!

Our central air conditioning unit had been leaking for over year. Building management sent a few different companies to take a look a few different times but the problem continued. Worsened even. Now at almost 8 months pregnant walking out of my room in the morning to slip in a huge puddle of water had become quite the hazard. Until Rodney from Ability Heating & Air! He's the first person who came and took the time to actually take the unit apart, explain what the problem could be && then find out what the problem was. Such a great guy! This year our A/C unit went out again and we called Ability, because of the great previous service.
This time, 1st technician was supposed to arrive between 8am-12pm, but did not arrive until past 3pm. (They were short technicians, it seems.) He fixed the a/c unit, which needed a new capacitor and it seemed to have been fixed. After he left, we discovered that the air was cool, but not cold; the air coming in was weak and something was still wrong.
We had to call for another appointment and the next time we got Brian, who saved the day. He saw that the fan in the machine was connected

We called Ability Air to repair our broken air conditioning system. We called around 11am. And they were able to fit us in the same day!!! Rodney came to our house on time and with a big smile!! He explained everything to us very carefully and was able to fix our ac in only 45 minutes!!! Rodney saves us from crazy Southern California heat.

So glad to have found these folks! We have an old house with a floor furnace that needed to be retrofitted to comply with safety code. We felt that Rodney went over and above what was expected, and the best part is he didn't try to gouge us with additional cost and whatnot, even after doing an extra setting for us to make our lives easier, which we thought would cost additional. Thank you, Rodney! It's so comforting to know that there are still homegrown, honest-to-goodness folks out there!
