I've been a professional painting contractor since 1978, but my career really began as a teenager that summer, when I worked as a handyman within my northeastern Ohio neighborhood. Eventually, I chose to focus my craft towards painting and created the Whalen Painting company in 1983.
We specialize in a whole suite of interior and exterior painting services including walls to ceilings, trim, doors & windows, floors, fine woodwork, and cabinets. Whenever possible, we used only low- or no-VOC (volatile organic compound) paints and stains, creating a healthy and safe environment for your family and pets.

I'd give 6 stars if I could! Darryl, Tom and Jay delivered incredible results-above and beyond what I've come to expect with home improvement specialists. Communication was top-notch from scheduling to estimates, and they always showed up on time with big smiles and laughter! Their work on our interior is exceptional-they repaired ceiling water damage, cracking, holes, splitting baseboards...and the finished paint job is perfect. The team was very respectful and always made sure the equipment was moved out of our way after they were done for the day, and they cleaned up so thoroughly

Competitive price and very professional service. Darryl and his team completed my project in one day while I was at work and I didn't have to worry about a thing. It took me a while to write a review for this wonderful team. We had our house (interior) repainted last year around the time when painters were very busy. All the companies I sent inquiry to were booked, but Darryl was kind enough to make time for us! We were so happy that they were able to fit us in their busy schedule. And to top it all, they did a very great job! And we love that they use low VOC paint, no pungent and strong paint smell at all. Tom and his team are really nice and courteous. And they make sure they clean up before they leave. Usually, having your house worked on is stressful

Darryl was honest, reliable and efficient, and maintained excellent communication throughout. He and his colleague brought their own equipment and did a great job. Healthy Painting did a wonderful job on some interior painting at our house. They were meticulous about prep work and made some previous imperfections look great. I Ioved the low VOC paint they used and filters to minimize the smell. They were very accommodating about leaving us access to the kitchen when they left for the day and were considerate about leaving picture hooks on the wall! Our finished product looks great and they left everything spotless! I would use them again and recommend them highly!

I just purchased a townhome and wanted it painted ASAP. Darryl and Tom did a great job and painted every room in the house over Thanksgiving weekend! I had 5 different colors and they worked with me to get exactly what I wanted. It came out perfect and will be calling them again for any future painting needs.

Darryl painted my whole house inside (2 bedrooms, living room and dining room/kitchen). He and his crew did a meticulous job and it came out perfect. He is licensed and Bonded which was a big plus for me. I had a few bids but Darryl's prices were competitive and fair. I would hire him again in a heartbeat and I highly recommend Healthy Painting.
