Services
A pioneer at birth, and growing up without many of the options available to minority students today, Howard Sims knew from an early age that he wanted to be an architect. As the landscape in Detroit at the time didn't provide internship opportunities to blacks in architecture, he joined the Navy as a draftsman to get experience in the field.
SDG was the Architect of Record for the renovation of the UAW-Ford National Programs Center which included a multitude of projects to create a world-class headquarters for UAW-Ford employees. Among these projects were renovations to the auditorium and other assembly spaces, as well as to nine floors of offices to create unique working spaces, with each floor having its own distinct character and style.
