My mother hired Ruth Movers in March for her move from her apartment in Blaine, MN to Burnsville,MN. They took $150 deposit when she spoke to the young lady in the office and setup to be at her apartment in Blaine on May. 30th at 8:30 AM. On the 30th we waited until 9:30am and nobody had shown up or called. We tried calling multiple times and nobody answered and their voicemail box was completely full so we couldn't even leave a message. I drove out to their location on the 30th and all their trucks are parked and doors are locked and nobody answered. We have filed a complaint with the

Would never recommend. Failed to communicate with me for going on over six weeks when they ghosted me on my move of my belongings from their storage facility back to my home. This whole fiasco has created undue stress, anxiety for me and wasted hours of me contacting them and every governing authority I can think of. Beware.

I was impressed with the professionalism of the people I worked with at Ruth Movers. We had an old upright piano moved. They answered all my questions and there were no hidden fees. The piano movers were also great. They called to let me know that they left the office and how long it would take to get to my home. They were timely and efficient. Outstanding service and very professional. We used them for a whole house move a few years ago and were very satisfied, so I hired them again. This time to move my mother-in-law into a senior aprtment. I have used Ruth THREE times now, with excellent results each time. The first time was to move a Mason&Hamlin grand piano and gun safe out of my home in Wayzata to my new home in Mendota Heights. They did a great job of being careful of the hardwood floors and were on time. The second experience also involved moving the same two items, but this time into a storage locker (divorce) until further notice. Once again, on time, professional, and prompt. The last time was to move my piano and gun safe into my new home in Eden Prairie. There was a miscue with the pick up time and drop off time.

Ruth Movers was incredible to work with! I needed help moving a baby grand piano and contacted them semi last minute and they were able to accommodate and very affordable. Jessica was so easy to work with. Day of they showed up on time and were very fast and efficient. Took excellent care of my family heirloom moving from A to B. John and Cory thank you for doing such a great job! You both were seamless in the move. If I ever need help again, or if anyone asks me for recommendations I will always send them Ruth's way!

I was robbed!! I called to have a piece of furniture moved from a store in Minneapolis to my home in Edina. Details about the furniture was provided and a quote was provided. They showed up and wanted $200 more for the move. They claimed the time would be significantly more to drive from Minneapolis to Edina than originally thought. I was being held up. We settled on $100 more. I was furious. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They are not honest and have figured out how to fleece the customer when they have little choice.

I don't normally write negative reviews but I have to be honest. They started off so nice and kind on the phone (the owner) to get your business but they estimate at a really low attractive rate knowing full well that it will cost more in the end. Paid by the hour, of course the guys take their time. They were kind and good guys but needed to move faster. I'm not paying you to take smoke breaks.They assumed 3 hours for my window so I even booked comcast to come to my new place the 2nd hour in (truck wasn't even loaded yet though) My girlfriend even helped them the whole time. I had terrible experience, I scheduled an appointment to move a piano, gave my check card number and was given time frame for the move. The day of a move I called the company, was told by a customer service person Deena that appointment was never maid. She was extremely rude and insisted that I never paid or made an appointment. She hung up on me. A person who sold me the piano contacted the office, my card number was found, but despite of it Deena continued to insist that I failed to make an appointment. Outstanding mover whether you are going across town or across country. Staff is friendly and communicates well. We used Ruth Movers 20 years ago and again recently to help us pack our moving truck for a 1700 mile home move. The movers were hard working, friendly and extremely efficient. Ruth Movers moved my mom into her apartment and the 2 men did an awesome job! They were polite, carefully wrapped everything and moved her quickly and set things up for her. I was very impressed. She has hired many movers before and this is one of the best experiences we have had by far. They were extremely reasonably priced as well as they got her moved so quickly and smoothly! We would use them again!

I was not present while they were moving, but my husband was. This was our first time using a moving company, and we had such a great experience. We do not remember the two gentlemen that helped us out but it was on 03/01, it was snowing this day, and they moved our items very quickly. We would definitely recommend them if you are in the area!

Ruth Movers helped me get my baby grand piano from South Eastern Minnesota to Detroit Lakes, MN. The pick up and loading process was quick and professional, as was the drop off and reassembly. The staff was helpful, knowledgeable, and courteous through the whole process -- both the movers and the office staff. The only issue I had was that I was told I would be called to complete payment (as I wanted to use a different payment method), but the call never came, and I was charged a significant amount more than I had been quoted. February 28th I moved to my new house. I had the honor of meeting, by happenstance, a couple of guys by the name of Steven and John Roslin Jr. We were all at a local watering hole Fabulous Ferns Bar & Grill . Each of us were enjoying brunch on a cold Sunday.
