Be assured that when building an addition to your home, our planning and construction is done correctly and follow the appropriate city codes. Building an addition takes careful planning to alleviate any rejections from the city. With our experience, time will not be wasted trying to get the proper permits to begin your project.
This is an addition that we did last year. This project involved the making of a master suite with a master bathroom, Master walk in closets, and big bedroom. All of this was done within a 500 square foot addition. We did the foundation, framing, electrical, plumbing, stucco, drywall, trim work and all the finish work.

We used George and his crew for 3 projects. They do excellent work. George is very flexible and is a good communicator - keeps us informed along the way. They re-built a water damaged balcony, a bathroom remodel, and drywall repair due to a leaky pipe. Their workers are diligent, considerate, and perform quality work. Scheduling was a little bit of a challenge, but I imagine that's the case with most contractors these days due to Covid. But once they start - they're locked in and completely committed to the job. I'll be using JGR for future projects and renovations.

Update to my review: a year after our remodel was done, I called Jorge back because I wanted to change out the lights he had installed. Within 72 hours, one of his guys was at my house at no extra cost. It is rare to work with contractors that will accommodate that kind of request, especially a year after the job is done! Jorge has worked on a full house remodel including plumbing, electrical, kitchen, and baths and now a large addition to our home. We really enjoy working with him and have loved the end product-- always getting praise from our neighbors and guests. Had an appointment for 11am today with Jorge to get an estimate. When he didn't show, I sent him a text asking if he was still coming. We hired Jorge to add a room in our house. He started work within 3 months after I talked to him. He also recommended very good engineer to do design. As promised , he finished the job within 1 month. His crew are very good and listen to our concern. They come on time and keep the place relatively clean even during construction. We renovated our kitchen through Jorge and we are beyond pleased with the stunning result. They tore out the old cabinets, installed new cabinets, new countertop , backsplash, new flooring, new electrical outlets.

This review is overdue. We have done several renovations before and to be honest, it's a hit and miss with the contractors you work with. This particular project we were quite nervous because it involved a structural element and was not just cosmetic. We met with several contractors including contractors our architect had recommended. We interviewed four contractors we found on Yelp to remodel my house. All of the reviews for JGR Construction were great, but we had no idea that Jorge would become our hero. I talked with Jorge to do some work on my front yard. We agreed to remove the natural grass and replace one part with artificial grass and the rest with concrete. My family was very pleased with the finished work and now we are enjoying a nice front of the house and not to worry with my yard being dry because of the drought.

We hired JGR to help us with drainage issues in our front yard. We knew we wanted to put in a french drain and our main goal was to have that done. Jorge came out the same day I called and did a quote and give us our options. We elected to put in a sump pump as well. The job was done very quickly (within 3 days). He even followed up to make sure everything was working correctly a few weeks later.
Overall, we are really pleased with his work. We will definitely hire him again in the future should we need some work done.
