Washington Movers Conference
The Washington Movers Conference (WMC), is the statewide not-for-profit trade association for moving and storage companies permitted to do business in Washington State. For your protection, it's important to remember that anyone providing local or intrastate moving services in Washington must be permitted with the Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission.

No exceptions! This helps to ensure that the company with which you may choose to do business maintains adequate levels of insurance and accountability. Allowing an illegal mover to move your household goods is a risk, and may limit your recourse should something go wrong. We are happy to help you determine whether the Washington domiciled mover of your choice is legally permitted.

As a condition of WMC membership, each mover member agrees to abide by a code of conduct promising to provide Washington moving consumers honest, legal, and efficient service. Trained personnel, operating clean and safe equipment, are standard WMC member service characteristics.
Services
WE, the members of the Washington Movers Conference, stand united in our sincere beliefs that honest, ethical, efficient and quality services to the public are the ultimate goals of this organization. TO consistently offer and provide the most efficient and reliable moving and storage services available, while adhering strictly to a policy of truth, honest, integrity and fairness in all business transactions.
All moving companies with Washington State Permanent HHG Authority issued by the Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission following the six month provisional period of authority are welcome to join the WMC. As members, in addition to payment of all dues and fees, you must be willing to abide by the WMC Code of Conduct.
