We're deeply rooted in the Central Coast, with bachelor's degrees in Landscape Architecture and Environmental Horticulture from Cal Poly. Our professional experience includes collaborative design work at a major multi-disciplinary design firm, skilled horticultural maintenance, residential and commercial landscape design and construction, graphic design, carpentry, photography and interior design.

Landwell Design + Build Co. is a San Luis Obispo based landscape design and construction company specializing in the creation and construction of contemporary outdoor living spaces. We thoughtfully design functional and attractive contemporary landscapes that are suited to fit each site and address individual client needs.
We conceptualize and construct modern stand-alone structures, from garden sheds to art studios, set seamlessly into each outdoor space. We work with our clients to create an attractive extension of their living area; each of these versatile designs are fully customizable to suit the intended use of the dwelling, while complementing existing or proposed architecture and the surrounding landscape.

Would not recommend using Jon's services. As we planned an overhaul to our landscape we met with him several times and he was very helpful working with us and our budget. Since we live in an area with hard clay soil we've had issues with plants thriving. Likely a combination of water and soil conditioning. So this was an issue that we relayed to his team..we wanted our soil conditioned properly. It's been over a year and we've lost several plants and others have not grown at all. Overall the install went well, except that they did not condition the soil well and we are paying for it now. They also

I have dealt with so many craftsman, construction workers, contractors, handyman for multiple properties in San Luis Obispo… And I finally found one who says what he does, stays in perfect communication and does fantastic work. I have no clue how it became commonplace for contractors to be so lacking in communication and showing up on time, but these guys have put new hope into it for me.
