As the restoration designer providing construction observation, it has been a pleasure to work with McCullough Construction on the construction of two sites for the Sonoma County Water Agency's Dry Creek Habitat Enhancement Project.
McCullough met the exceptional challenges presented in constructing Sites 2C and 2D, which included managing challenging flow conditions, working in loose materials often below the water table, construction of complex and delicate structures, and preservation of the adjacent valued vegetation.
McCullough Construction was the contractor for mitigation construction required for the permitting of the Runway Safety Area at the Del Norte County Regional Airport.As Airport Program Manager, I attended weekly meetings with McCullough and the mitigation design firm engineer overseeing the projects.

McCullough Construction was founded in 1987 by Macky and Dena McCullough. The Foundation of the company is built on Integrity, working hard and the passion for a family legacy. The company began with a backhoe, dump truck and the power of a handshake when binding contracts. In just over 30 years the company has evolved into a heavy civil corporation; focused on building and rehabilitating waterways, roads, bridges and everything in between.
Macky is the founder of the company. He has over 40 years of experience in the heavy civil construction industry. He has a passion for completing projects with integrity and takes the needs of his clients seriously. He is innovative and is no stranger to putting in many hours to ensure clients are satisfied.
We are fully equipped with our own fleet of heavy equipment, vehicles, and specially trained crews. We have over 300 pieces of equipment available for short and long term rental. McCullough Construction, Inc. has experience with emergency task orders; with contracts from California Department of Transportation for emergency stormwater repairs, miscellaneous emergency projects with Caltrans, Calfire and the Forest Service for emergency heavy equipment and water tenders to aid in wildfires, as well as Emergency Task Orders we receive from the United States Marine Corps to supply Heavy Equipment for their critical missions in the field.
