When I recovered my stolen truck, the thieves had used a screw driver to start it. Needless to they made a mess of my ignition. AKM came out on the same day I called and removed the cylinder but had the wrong replacement so I had to wait until the next morning, no big deal because it is just my old truck I use for working around the house. I would have given them a five out of five but I waited around for them all day, 2 days in a row. It would have been nice if they could have given me a better approximate time so I could have been doing other things in the mean time. All in all, though, I was

Last night I called 704-458-4784 around 7:35p because I was in desperate need of a locksmith. Yesterday, was a cold and rainy Valentine's Day and to top things off, I locked myself out of our apartment, lucky me huh? I was undecided about using a locksmith but my apartment complex does not consider a lock out a true maintenance emergency. The tech that came out today was fast and effective. He was very nice and professional. My issue is my appointment was between 9am-10am at 10:00 I was told the tech was on the way and will receive a text at 11:00 no tech the guy on the phone said he would check with the tech and text me eta no text or call 11:42 I was told he had to guy pick up the key from his supervisor and it will take him about 2 hrs at 1:19pm tech says I'm on the way eta 15min he was very nice but was not apologetic on how late he was and or the company didn't show any concerns if I had any plans. Very disappointed

Awful quality of key shell. The first key fell on carpet and cracked after having it for a short period of time. AKM fixed it as a courtesy. Recently, I was driving a different vehicle out of town and noticed that my AKM key shell was on my key ring but the inside part of the key fob was not there. The shell is a POS. Get it done right, the first… time. Car Keys to Go has a location off N. Tryon and also mobile. They are a reputable source.
It's 8/2/18, and I am still waiting for a manager to call me back from 7/31/18. The customer service rep also attempted to get sarcastic on the phone

This review is late in coming, but when I arrived at my hotel in Charlotte with my Tumi luggage, I discovered that TSA had broken my lock. I was unable to access any of my belongings. After searching for an after hours locksmith, I found AKM. The tech was there within the hour and was able to unlock the bag. The charge was reasonable given the circumstances and it saved my trip home - if not the bag. Kudos to AKM - no thanks to TSA trashing my piece of luggage!

Not a very good service company. Called to ask about a key and fob to be made, they asked the make quoted a price and then they abruptly hung up.
I can see why they are so low rated.
UPDATE: So the responded to my initial review, and said that they would investigate the matter as a point of its "policy".
Then in in BOLD Capital letters they state they "investigated" and did nothing wrong. Hanging up the phone on a customer that is calling to give them business is wrong.
They NEVER called me back, or contacted me through YELP as other businesses have. I think they

Wish I had looked up this company before calling these guys. They quoted us a low price and when the guy got here, he quoted us a higher price. He wasn't counting on me telling him no thank you! Then he tried to make us pay for the trip out. Again, no, we aren't paying because your dispatchers quoted the wrong price! He called the "home office" and got us a lower price. He was very unprofessional, flirting with my co worker and arguing with me about it not being a simple Home Depot lock. (That he struggled with.) Would not recommend!
