The service was as perfect as I could imagine. The only problems were the length of time between requesting a service or estimate and getting it performed. I believe it was almost 6 months or longer between agreeing to the estimate on the tree and stump removal and then having them perform the work. And the crew that removed the tree said "we're done". Well, the stump was still there, and I asked them about the stump removal. They said "Oh, another team will do that." I called the office and inquired as to when the stump removal would be done. The person I talked with said they had to wait for

Eric and his team did a fantastic job on cutting the large, cracked limb off of our pine tree. They were professional, timely, and did an excellent job in cleaning up all of the debris in our yard and driveway. We are very satisfied with the job that they did.

I was impressed with their responsiveness. They let me know they were going to be doing things a day before. We have used them for treating our trees for the ash borer, Japanese beetle, and rust. They all looked great the next season.

I live on a wooded lot and have used several tree services in the past but none better than Hughes Tree Services. We have several large burr oaks and a bald cypress in the front as well as a variety of trees in the back so I generally have service every year. Justin does a thorough evaluation and recommendations for services. I have been fortunate to have Tony and his trimming crew on the last two occasions and have never encountered a more professional team. Very respectful of our property and always clean the area after they finish. Great skill and great customer service. It’s hard to compare

We had another company do our trimming of 3 trees. Terry Hughes took a long time to come and give us an estimate and then a LONG wait time for the work to be done! We had another company come and give us an estimate and they called us that night and said they would be out the next day to do the work! The arborist for the company that did the work gave us a superb amount of information on the health of our trees.

We had an emergency after a storm. A fifty foot tree had fallen and was in contact with our roof, supported only by one branch. Terry Hughes came out with two cranes, an experienced crew and safely removed all of the other branches, secured the tree to control the direction if it fell after removal of the final branch, and then safely removed the supporting branch with no further movement. They saved us thousands of dollars in potential damages. They cleaned up all debris, sawed the trunk and large branches into manageable pieces before loading everything into their trucks. They were

Wow, what can I say. Amazing job! They were in and out and everything was cleaned up perfectly. Had a tree removal of a dead River Birch, they have tons of limbs and the tree was quite large, and they left a handful of small limbs in the yard. I had gotten quotes from 5 different places and they were the cheapest(and happily, they were in my town).
I would have given 5 stars but when they showed up yesterday, I had no idea they were coming. Luckily we happened to be home and our dog was inside(our dog isn't very friendly to strangers). Wish I could have given 4 1/2 stars since the work itself

I really liked the first person I talked with when calling and also the arborist. They were helpful and responsive. Unfortunately, they aren't representative of everyone who works for the company. The diagnostic visit was made and the estimate was provided on the day that I called. It called for a 3-part plan. The arborist called to explain what was needed and why and to work out a plan with me. Part 1 was done within the week, relief of root collaring. They were prompt, left pictures and I was happy. Part 2 was pruning off the dead sections. It was supposedly done the following week per the

You would think they give a 3 time returning customer a good price, knowing that trees and shrubs grow back. I got a estimate for a large area but only a few parts were to be cut back, and a neighbors branch that needed to be cut back, that's on my property, but the person said its a lot of work, when I cringed at the one thousand and a half price tag. I had trimmed a large portions of the trees myself, as I explained to the person , All I needed was the higher branches trimmed.and a large bush cut down 2 ft.x 1ft he said he reduce the amount by 200.00 if it was done in the winter.

Terry Hughes Tree Service serviced my tree on October 10 but did not complete the job to my satisfaction. When I called to tell them, they said they would be back and we wouldn't have to pay until they returned. Today, nearly five months later, they still haven't returned -- but they did send a man to my doorstep demanding payment. My husband and I have both called to complain. They didn't have much to say to me, but told my husband they would send someone by the end of the week. We'll see. But really, unless they are prepared to offer a discount to compensate for their shoddy
