An Extra Body Movers was started in March of 2013 because so many people were unable to find moving assistance that was reliable, customer friendly and affordable. Many people view moving companies as predatory because of the expensive hourly charges, minimal-charges floor and expensive travel fees.
We won't even discuss all of the paperwork customers need to sign that gives away virtually all of their power, options and legal recourse. We think that there is a more customer friendly way to move your personal affects. Customers realize that moving does not have to be complicated, stressful or expensive.

Services
The packing phase of the move is time consuming, requires patience and lots of supplies (boxes, furniture wrap, mattress bags, padding, bubble wrap, labels, tape and so on). An Extra Body Movers offers affordable moving rates in 4 hour increments of service. Customers have the option of providing packaging supplies or having An Extra Body Movers provide the supplies.
We are all happy to accept a promotion in another city, fulfill a marital promise or move out for the first time. Then, after the celebrations and congratulations, we realize that, at some point, we will have to MOVE. Moving is time-consuming, distracting and stressful (mentally, physically and emotionally) for everyone involved.

Michael is the absolute best! He's very professional and was on time. He paid very close attention to the needs in our house and discussed with us the best path to move the furniture into our basement.
He and his staff are top-notch! Michael was gracious throughout the whole experience and his prices are super reasonable. We will definitely use him again. Give Michael a call, you will be glad you did!

So, my husband and I hired these guys to move our son's belongings to a storage facility until his new place is ready.
And on that note, we will hire them again to move him into his new home!!

The gentlemen who came to help me move were amazing. They were polite , very professional and courteous. They did an amazing job. They went above and beyond their job requirements to help me. I highly recommend these movers if you need to move. From the owner of the company to the movers themselves , first class all the way. Will use these gentleman again when I need to move things.

Very hard working and well organized. This crew saved our move in 2017 when our scheduled movers cancelled at the last minute. We used them again to load the truck in 2020 and were just as impressed. The truck was loaded very carefully to prevent items from shifting and getting damaged. I hope to have a crew like this for every move.

I've used Michael and his team for two moves. Each time I have been impressed by the efficiency of their work! They are hard working, quick, professional and extremely kind. They've made sure that all I "have to do is point" and they'd handle the rest. They fit everything into the moving truck in a way that almost seems Tetris like- it all fits in perfectly with no movement during the drive or fall-out when unloading. I had no doubt that my belongings were in good hands. If I still lived in the area, I would not hesitate to use An Extra Body Movers again!
