After Allen obtained his degree in architecture from CalPoly University he began his career honing his drawing skills in architectural firms in southern California. There he gained valuable design and drafting experience working on a variety of residential and commercial projects. He moved to Marin County and expanded his design skills working in firms active in land planning, multi-family housing and custom homes.
