We recommend placing the screws in the flat area of the panel. The washer has a better opportunity to create a good seal. If done correctly, this will provide superior leak protection versus placing the screws in the rib itself. We all know that leaving a screw loose can cause leaking. However, over-tightening of a screw is probably a much more common cause of leaks and roof failures.

Worst product I ever had delivered. Paid extra to have pieces cut that was under there 8' limit after getting piece off of pallet edges on corners was smashed then go to install and find out that apparently they cant read a tape measure panels varied an 1" over and under the size I ordered won't be ordering for them again very unsatisfied and even get to pay for there mistakes.
