What a dream this was! On Saturday morning at around 11:45am, 15 minutes before open, a couple of "well-bagged" ladies were peering through the picture window of the shop. I unlocked the door and welcomed them in. They introduced themselves in a mixture of French, their native tongue, and. An Orange Moon Made the List!

I had a wonderful experience at An Orange Moon. They are taking appointments (due to COVID) -- just text them to set one up! The owner was very personable and walked us through all the details she had put into the beautifully reupholstered couch we purchased. They also have a delivery service who they have worked with for many years.

You know when you see something and you can’t stop thinking about it? That happened to me with a piece that I ended up purchasing from An Orange Moon. I caught a glimpse of the artwork piece in the corner of a post on Instagram. And then spent all night and the next day thinking about it and doing the proverbial should I, shouldn’t I, do I need it dance in my head. Turns out I did need it. I messaged An Orange Moon and they were able to help me track down the piece and had it ready to pick up the next day. Everything was so easy, the shop owners were so quick to respond and send me a few images

Lynne and Ty were wonderful to work with - friendly, respectful and so helpful. I had a vintage danish modern chair to sell, and had contacted a few stores in the Chicago and Minneapolis area. Lynne and Ty were the clear winners - honestly assessing the worth of what i had, and giving me their expert advice on pricing. My lovely vintage chair sold in a couple months - and it make me so happy to know it went to another person who loves danish modern. I will happily collaborate with Lynne and Ty again - and look forward to my next visit to Chicago to see what new treasures they've found.

I love this place! I was looking for an authentic vintage piece for my living room and found a gorgeous mid century bar at An Orange Moon. The owners, Lynne and Ty, are extremely knowledgeable and let me know how to care for the piece. They even offered to hand deliver the bar to my home, which I accepted. Overall, this is a great place to check periodically as things sell quickly and new items come in. It has very unique furniture and decor that you will not find anywhere else in the city. Lynne and Ty are warm, friendly and lively part of the community. I stop into the store from time to time

I live above An Orange Room & I feel so fortunate to know Lynne & Ty (the owners). Lynne is a force, a badass, a queen & she is invested in the neighborhood always supporting and encouraging new businesses & positive change.
Their space is full of stunning, gorgeous furniture & other items, all unique & hand-curated & are pieces that you would build a room around. Lynne or Ty are always in the shop & they bring their soul & energy to each piece they find.

Read these reviews. Most are right on. This is a top-shelf vintage shop. The collection is amazing, maybe a bit pricy, but worth it. We met the owner on our first visit. She was busy with a vendor (I think) but quickly freed herself to say hi, ask what we were interested in, and chat. She's awesome and has great taste. You should drop by at least once, and probably more often as her inventory changes constantly.

I walked into An Orange Moon today and the owner was chatting with two people at the counter and didn't acknowledge me and my friend, which was OK, though when I sat on a couch that was labeled Sold yet accessible with no indicator not to sit on it she looked over and said "That's sold", I said "I know, I just was seeing how it felt" and she responded with "Nuh, huh, you know better", with attitude, and went back to her conversation with the two people there. I felt judged as not having the buying power she required by perhaps being dressed pretty casually

An Orange Moon is one of my favorite places in Chicago. It has the best, most awesome MCM pieces. Its location is out of my way so I don't get to visit often but I check items for sale on the store website everyday and it's a treat.
I bought a couple pieces from An Orange Moon over the years and I love them. I'll probably have them forever. I went to their estate sales a while ago and it was one of the highlights of that year. I bought a really great (and affordable) credenza and a nice arm chair. That same year I blew my Christmas bonus on a painting I'd been eyeing

Incredibly amazing place and has a really nice charm. All the pieces I sought were in immaculate condition, and having known what I was looking for, they were fairly priced.
Lynne is an absolutely wonderful person and will answer any question you have. They have a great curation of furniture and an aesthetic that is getting harder to find. I recommend this place full well.
The lack of parking is a bit frustrating, though is in no part the stores fault.

Lynne was fabulous. This was my first time in, but she made me feel like I had been there a million times before. She's gifted at customer service.
I found something I wanted immediately, which never happens to me in vintage stores, thanks to their impeccable taste. Lynne helped me get it checked out and set up delivery easily and quickly, while offering me (and the other folks in the store, who hadn't bought anything) a cold beer! How great is that?
Oh, and by the way, the dining set I bought was a steal. As Lynne said "this isn't a museum; I want to keep things moving!"

Lynne is probably one of the most likable and genuine people I have met. She is so funky and fresh, she treats you like she has known you all your life.
Her love for high end vintage furniture design (and vintage in general) is completely contagious! She is so welcoming and warm-hearted you will want to buy everything!
All of her mid-century furniture is collector worthy and her taste level is astounding.
Great neighborhood spot.
Now, go buy something!!!
