To understand the client's desires, goals and dreams. Through meeting(s) with the Owner, an initial program is discussed which will enumerate the clients desires for the project. This will include size, function, style, components, budgets and time frame. This serves as the basis for the preliminary design.

We chose Cliff and his team because they came highly recommended from both our interior designer and contractor. He got to the heart of what we were looking for in our design and gave us the home we have today. What I liked best about working with Cliff is - when something wasn't right - he fixed it. Having an architect that can mitigate problems or issues, is invaluable. If you're looking for a design team, choose CMSA, they have my highest recommendation.

We have a relationship with Cliff and his team that spans 30+ years and 6 renovations as my husband and I got married, raised children, buffeted hurricanes and now empty our nest. Creative, accessible, sensitive, professional, resourceful, responsible and clear only begin to cover our regard for Cliff. CMSA worked with us on an odd shaped lot and designed a home with tremendous street presence that is still in many high end residential home magazines 2 years after home completion. The home won several Sarasota magazine awards and still is one of the more photographed residences in the area which is a credit to CMSA. Understated elegance is a frequent commentary we receive on our home. I'm mentioning the magazines since its an independent acknowledgement to the special CMSA design characteristics.
