Founded in Spokane, Washington in 1991, Steven Meek Architects has stood fast to its primary focus: to have respect for the past, perform in the present and aspire to help the future through meaningful and purposeful architectural design. We call this "Designing Significance, " and are dedicated to making the world- the built environment - meaningful and coherent.

Architecture changes a lot less frequently than trends, and means that what we do, what our designs look like, and how they function, have to make sense and last for many generations. We design to not only improve the built environment but also to improve processes. We understand that it's not about the building - it's about the people, the business, and what they do when there.

Through listening to our clients, and the ability to think in both business and design terms, we use our design sense to further the business ambitions of our clients. We succeed when our clients do, and ultimately love that we can help others achieve their goals and reach their dreams through imaginative and dedicated service and design.
Services
Architecture should provide both a functional and emotional experience for people through purposeful and creative design solutions. The experience for us is the process, beginning with your desires. Our technical expertise will speak for itself, but what you will appreciate most is how we listen. We want you to take part in the experience, and trust us to take care in getting it done.
Located in Liberty Lake, Washington, the 20,000 square foot Alliant Securities Building was commissioned jointly by a private owner/developer partnership to include their company offices. The design features a three story entrance lobby, public seating areas, and an outdoor plaza.
This proposed 10-unit luxury condominium project plays with the angled geometry of its frontage, bending and wrapping the facade to work with both the plan elements as well as its unique site. Anchored at the street, the north side of the building extends towards the beautiful views of the river and surrounding areas as the site rapidly drops down the hillside.
Steven A. Meek Architects has designed numerous worship centers featuring large auditoriums, seating from 200 to 800 people, as well as classrooms, gymnasiums, offices and libraries. Our auditorium design experience involves raised platform stages, back-of-house amenities, restrooms and changing rooms while allowing for ADA stage access.
The Holiday Inn Express on the Rock is an existing 109-unit hotel. Built on a 50' tall rock outcropping, the project is one of the most visible buildings in the Spokane Core. The project included re-skinning the existing facilities, tripling the size of the front lobby and dining areas, and providing new outdoor community patios overlooking downtown.
