The team at Lion and Bear are very unresponsive. They DAMAGED OUR WALLS IN OUR NEW HOME. We received 2 movers for a 1 bedroom apartment. They started at 2PM and did not finish until close to 11PM. We originally requested 3 movers but the management pressured us into 2 movers saying that's all that would be needed and increased the price over $100 per hour. We eneded up paying nearly $800 for a 1 bedroom mover. We've never paid more than $500 for movers. The team damaged our walls and at first the management said they would fix, but stopped answering our calls and emails. We are still

I hate leaving bad reviews for businesses but you should be fully aware before booking this place. I chose lion and bear moving because they were decently priced, had pretty good reviews, owner was responsive and most importantly they were available on the date that I needed. The day before I got a phone call to confirm which was nice but the person on the other end kept insisting that I send them photos of everything so they knew what they were getting into for the next day. I told them I was still packing so it wouldn't really make sense to send photos of boxes so I sent them photos of

Just had a successful move from Washington DC to Nashville TN. El, Isaac and Lazar took care of us and made the process seamless. Professional, punctual and efficient - they worked hard despite the heat. We had already boxed, wrapped and padded most of our stuff but they helped us by disassembling and protecting the furniture, and they were gentle with our items. They also reassembled and arranged the furniture as we desired in the new place, which we greatly appreciated. Lion & Bear's prices are extremely competetive compared to other companies and we had a hood experience. I highly recommend

Horrible experience. DO NOT USE THEM. Very careless handling. Damaged my furnitures and lost items. Very bad attitudes from both the mover and the owner. After showing movers damages on furniture, movers rage left without returning pieces they removed from furniture. Owner said I had to talk to their insurance and gave an hour rate reduction (which does not compensate the full lost). Later said I could not file for insurance because I was given the discount.
Mind you, best case scenario, their basic insurance pays 60 cents per pound. Better find yourself a trusted moving company that's responsible

El and Shawn did a nice job with my local move in DC today. They were polite and efficient, and very communicative day of. I had a fair number of boxes and heavy furniture, and they handled everything with decent care. L&B has unbeatable and competitive rates, can't find a better deal in the city. Luckily they were able to accommodate my specific time frame and date; I have no regrets booking them.

We used Lion&Bear Moving for our local move from DC to MD in May 2021. Our moving team: Dominique, Bernard and Shawn, were awesome. They worked together seamlessly, were so kind and respectful both to us and to each other, and really got the job done quickly. The owner, Charlie, was able to accommodate our move fairly last minute, when I had accidentally written the date wrong on my request! Overall fantastic experience. Thanks Lion&Bear!

The two guys who came were very professional, and didn't take any breaks, they worked carefully and diligently with all of my items. They even Assembled and disassembled my bed, and wrapped the larger pieces of furniture which meant that nothing was broken, scratched, or damaged! Great job, I'll def use them again! Decently priced and no hidden fees. Thanks!

Charlie was quick to answer messages when I was requesting my quote and additional information. I expressed my desire for wrapping some of my furniture, an extra charge at other companies, but free with L&B. I decided to use them since it was included. They were professional and reliable all throughout the move.
As we were finishing things up, I noticed a yellow stain on my sofa and the arms were a bit rubbed. The mover said sorry, but no guidance on what to do about it. I asked and he said tell Charlie they damaged my furniture. I paid, and then messaged Charlie.

I NEVER leave ratings but I had to with this company. I'm not sure how this company has so many rave ratings. When they did my move, it was armature hour. The only competent experienced person was the foreman. We moved from a 2 bedroom place and it took 3+ hours longer than they told us (didn't have THAT much stuff), many our walls and floors were horribly scraped up in our new home (like dray wall dented) , and some of our belongs were so destroyed that we had to throw them out (our desk was beyond salvage as an example). These guys are amazing! I'd give them 7 stars if I could. Not only were they efficient, fast, and gentle with my stuff- their estimate for 2 hours put them at the best price in town. And they actually got it done in under the 2 hours! I tipped an extra hour because they were so great, and the job would have easily taken another hour with lesser movers.
True pros from beginning to end, they had masks on, and navigated the difficulties of my apartment building with ease.

I've never left a bad review, but our experience with Lion & Bear was so terrible that I'm hoping to spare others' time and money - use Bookstore! We had an incredibly disappointing experience with Lion and Bear for our move from DC to NYC. In loading our Pod, they left two closets worth of heavy items out. Beyond that, they packed incredibly inefficiently and hastily - our movers in NYC kept inquiring who we used because "you had the worst movers we've ever seen." Our move was ultimately delayed over 6 hours because of their poor use of space and lack of care

Had a small move in my house that required 30 minutes but needed professionals. Called around to multiple companies but they were all astronomical. Lion & Bear came in with far and away the best quote for a professional team. They were courteous and professional through the whole process.
Two big guys showed up and did exactly what was required quickly and efficiently. They were careful of my house and belongings. If I ever have to move this damn sleeper sofa to another floor again, they are my first call.

This was my first time needing movers (I've never had furniture to move before) and it was such a great experience! Everything was set up over email which makes it so much easier, in my opinion. The movers were scheduled to arrive between 3p-4p and they arrived at 2:55. In less than two hours, they took apart and carefully packed all of my furniture and televisions, moved them to the new place, and put everything back together. Even better - they cost less than HALF of all other quotes I received (which were all over $500). I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone in this area in the future

This company was great. I received quotes from several companies, and this was the most affordable by far. I appreciated that I was emailed by actual people and not robots, and that there was a guaranteed maximum I would pay, regardless of change. It was easy to set up the appointment, the drivers arrived on time and were very respectful, responsible, nice guys. They accommodated my special requests and moved very quickly. They packed and moved my furniture very carefully, paying close attention not to hit stairwell walls. I was so happy we chose them. Best move I've ever experienced!

Professional from the estimate through the execution, accommodating changes along the way. The job was moving furniture out from my house for renovation then back in the following month. Everything was extensively wrapped to prevent damage and no one was in a rush. We will use Lion & Bear Moving when we do our downsizing move
