Traditional stucco is so common on historic structures it often goes unnoticed, is used to imitate another material, or, worse still, is removed to reveal brick or stone not historically intended to be exposed. It is particularly vulnerable to water damage and requires periodical maintenance. In most cases, traditional stucco repair should be done only by a professional skilled in the art of plastering.
