We specialize in the designing, installation, finishing, and refinishing of solid and engineered wood floors. Our customers often want to know the exact series of processes we'll be going through when we install their new flooring. To start, we meet at the location of the work to be done. We had water damage to our oak flooring in the kitchen due to a poorly installed dish washer (another story). Joe and Scott refinished our flooring (approximately 500 square feet) and did an outstanding job. They arrived when they said would, were efficient and professional in every respect, and caused minimal disruption. When I handed Joe the check I said that "it was worth every penny". It was. Most importantly, however, is that my wife now says that she "can't help but smile every time she looks at the "new" flooring. Thanks Joe!

We hired J & J to refinish some existing oak floors and install new flooring to match, including a flight of stairs, at our condo in North Tahoe. Joe worked with us remotely (since this isn't our full time residence). We met Joe at the condo and reviewed the job parameters during the estimate phase; the bid was very competitive. Then we were able to do everything remotely via emails and phone calls. The finished product is beautiful and transformed our space. We really appreciate that we didn't have to run back-and-forth from the valley to the mountains to supervise Joe. He

We had a wonderful experience with this business. After several different quotes on replacing our floors from Home Depot to Lowe's then a recommendation from a friend about J&J then meeting the owner Joe we finally decided he was the one for the job. Joe and his employees were very professional informative and had wonderful attention to detail. The job was started Monday and finished by Thursday morning and we are beyond happy with the end result. I will def recommend J&J to family and friends. Thank you so very much for making my floors look beautiful.

15 years ago our hardwood Hickory floors were installed by J+J. It was time for the floors to be refinished. They are professional and everything went according to plan and the floors look better than new. The process involves dust free sanding, a coat of wood filler, more sanding, a coat of oil based finish, light sanding, and two coats of water based finish. A family operation dedicated to quality. I can't imagine a better experience than the one we've had with Joe and is crew. Kind, professional, fair and the craftsmanship and care they took on our floors was incredible. We presented them with really challenging project with many curved areas, spiral stair casing and crazy cuts and their work was flawless. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to lay wood floors!
