I hope there’s a special place in hell for insurance contractors who scam people who have just been traumatized by severe home damage. Because Mike Downey, owner of Complete Construction, will find a place there with his name on it.
I hired Downey in late June 2019 on the recommendation of a restoration company that had done a good job drying out my house after a refrigerator leak. He said the job would take three days. He negotiated for a higher price from the insurance company, claiming areas that weren’t impacted by the flood needed to be replaced. Then he didn’t replace those areas.
