Boilers are fuel-fired heaters, using gas or oil as the fuel source. The process of heating with a boiler begins with a spark, a pilot or an igniter starting the combustion process. The heat produced by combustion heats the water inside the boiler to roughly 180 degrees. A small pump, called a circulator pump, circulates the water through the house and travels to either your baseboards or radiators, where the heat is released into the home.

Bought a new 2-stage heating system through summit. Within 4 years years of having it, someone needed to come out 3 times for repairs. They do honor their warranty (though diagnostics and shipping isn’t paid for), the problem is they take forever to schedule an appointment to come out, then based on what they see, they need a part, and take weeks for that to come in. Temps in the low 50s, they’ll be out next week to look, and more likely than not, need another couple of weeks for the part to come in (based on my first experience). Didn’t feel like dealing with them anymore, had someone else

I have used Summit HVAC to service my system for the past several years after having received an offer flyer in the mail. That has been a surprisingly great choice.
My system was 18 years old and was original when I built my house in Magnolia (Kent County). They never gouged me and never "over-diagnosed" just to sell me more services than I needed. In fact, on at least 1 occasion the service tech (Chris) advised me of a problem but cautioned against repairing it on a system that old.
So this Spring, I decided I needed to invest in a new system or risk finding myself on a holiday, sure to be the

Summit made it extremely easy to schedule an appointment that work with my schedule. Their office staff are extremely helpful in explaining services and are extremely personable. Our technician was George, he showed up to the appointment on time and went straight to work. He was extremely thorough, easy going and explained to me what he thought the issues were with our furnace and explained how it was best to fix it. Overall great experience, reasonable price,will be calling them in the future for all out needs!

Wow just wow, I was amazed by the kindness, professionalism and attention to detail given by this company when my rental property had its heater break. Every single person I spoke to at Summit genuinely cared about my tenant and I during this rough time. Janette and Jill in the office could not have been more understanding and caring. Michael and Steve, the two techs who ran to my house multiple times to get the heat running again were thorough and explained everything in detail about what they were doing. A few years ago I hired Summit Heating to install a new oil burner and I couldn't be more pleased. Since then I have used them exclusively for all of my heating and a/c maintenance. Heater went out on a cold day off hours so i started calling around for a heater repair co. Tried calling the more recognizable names - nobody picked up. I then decided to try summit which was in Townsend. A man picked up immediately and said he had a few calls ahead of me but he would take a look. I received a call immediately. Great people - great customer service!
