Whitelaw Architects brings a thorough knowledge of design and construction principles to the context and client goals of each project, thereby creating unique and appropriate solutions. We are a firm with varied experience in renovation, restoration and new construction of commercial and residential buildings.
After fifteen years in business, Whitelaw Architects takes pride that most of our clients come from personal recommendation and many clients are repeat customers. Professional services offered to our clients consist of all phases of a project including feasibility studies, preliminary design, construction drawings, specifications and construction administration as well as building inspections.
We collaborate with experienced, on-call consultants on a per project basis, including structural engineers, MEP engineers, surveyors and testing laboratories to make your project run as smoothly as possible. I started my career at the New York Institute of Technology at Old Westbury. After graduating in 1987 with a Bachelor of Architecture, I went on to work at the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey.

Services
A client's project will be researched prior to a full scale design and construction commitment. Factors such as orientation, topography, zoning regulations including setbacks, owners budget, time schedule and environmental conditions will determine the basis of our study. Alternative approaches are explored in sketch form based upon the owners project requirements, existing conditions and property survey.
