Skip was upfront, honest, and professional from the first time we met. He was extremely helpful with structural issues in our house, design, and functionality.
He was on site every step of the way and if he was ever not on site and there was a question, he was easy to reach and always responded promptly. Murphy Construction's crew couldn't have been more skillful and respectful of our family and house (that we were living in through the work). Skip's crew have all worked for him for years, which is a testament to his organization.
We were very happy with everyone he recommended for supplies and the people he chose to hire for the job - awesome plumbers, electricians, tile workers, and guys who do hardwood floors. His price under that of other contractors, the time schedule was right on track, and we are thrilled with the final product!

Words cannot express how thankful and happy we are with the expansion of our house with Murphy Construction. When my husband and I first started discussing expanding our house in 2020 we were not sure who to contact. I saw a number of houses in our neighborhood with. Murphy Construction sign so decided to give a call. Skip called me back within 24 hours and was over a few days later to speak about what we would like done. He was very honest in terms of the cost of the extension as well as the time frame on when he could start work (we expected a wait time since everyone is redoing their house right

I am not one to write a bad review but the more I look at my bathroom the more frustrated and disappointed I get. We have to bring in new contractors to fix what Murphy's construction did. Take a look for your self. Instead of grout they used quirk on some tiles. When we told Skip we weren't happy with the floor he sent my wife a rude email stating if we don't like the job to pay him to do it over again. Seriously.... so much for customer satisfaction. This was a very expensive job and it should've been done right. If I had the time and patience I definitely would've took

Murphy Construction has done work in many of the houses on my block over the years. So, when his trucks continue to appear at each home every so often, I had to think... These guys must be good at what they do.... and I was right!
I hired Skip and his team to completely makeover my kitchen and bathroom.
We took down a support wall, then extended the kitchen and bath into what was a rarely used Florida room.
Everything went smoothly.... From the first meeting, until the last towel hook was hung.
Skip is professional, he listens, he makes suggestions, and he executed each aspect of the job practically

Skip Murphy was wonderful to work with. Contacted him regarding closing up an exterior door and finishing the interior wall as well as the exterior siding. He returned my call the same day, came to see the job the next day and had the job done impeccably within the week in 1/2 a day. Absolutely recommend Skip and his workers without reservation!
