Beginning from a single warehouse and accompanying flea market in our parking lot, Builders Surplus Kitchen & Bath Cabinets remains a family-owned and operated business. Founded by Daryl Drake in 1969, we offered our customers exclusive deals on overstocks and closeouts for their home renovation needs.

Starting with just one warehouse plus our huge parking lot, we housed our own outdoor market chock full of overstocks and closeouts. Right now our warehouse has 20 styles of kitchen cabinets in Orange County, CA that are fully factory assembled, unfinished or pre-finished, and IN STOCK CABINETS ready to go. We have a wide selection of woods and stains that will fit your project. Most of our styles are made in the USA and are all plywood and hardwood construction with no particle board.

Avoid at all costs. Literally the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I selected a great vanity but I didn't know they do not accept credit cards. No problem, I drove an hour round trip to get a business check just in time to get back an pay before they closed. Except this time they refused to accept my check, and refused to explain why. They then asked for cash or cashiers check which is impossible for me as a business owner to trace for expenses. The manager explained that they don't accept credit cards because of the fees to compete with big box store prices. Guess what, you lost my

BEWARE!!! Double Vanity sinks do not line up to center of sink base doors, 2 inches or more off-center. So, do you line up the mirror and lighting to the cabinet ? or do you line up to the sink.? I choose to line up everything. HOWEVER, they DO provide "Special Order Option" if you are willing to wait 5-6 weeks, so plan ahead! Other option is buy the sinks from them and have a stone fabricator make and install countertop in as little as 2 days, like I did.

This is the worst place to shop. We bought three vanities in the amount of $6000 cash from this place and couple of them were wrong sizes due to plumbing issue. However, the sales representative and the manager agreed over the phone and in person that they will make this one time exception as long as we will exchange for item in equal value. After few back and forth visits and phone conversations, we finally went with the vanities and that time they completely flipped on us and said that they will charge $200 for re-stocking fees on each vanity. I will never recommend this place to anyone. They

I love the deal I got on a floor clearance package. $998 for 76" floor kitchen cabinet in a slate blue color with 3 white wall cabinets all with the same shaker style. It's nice to get something that is French dovetailed on the drawers with the glide stops on the drawers and no only plywood not compressed wood. I love the quality and the $998 price included the hardware and they helped us pack everything nicely into the pickup truck. Can't wait to set it up tomorrow

Been to Builder's Surplus twice. Both times I was not a knowledged by store associates. If i needed help, I had to go seek somebody to get the help that I needed. On another note, their selection of bathroom vanities is stupendous. I needed a vanity with drawers on the left and they had it when other stores only had drawers on the right. Amazing how deep their selection is. Don't necessarily like their sales policy of "no refunds", "all sales final". I wonder how they would treat you if you special order something and it turns out that something is wrong because of their screw-up. Will they make

This place is crazy!! They had a HUGE assortment of kitchen and bathroom counter tops, cabinets, vanities, sinks, etc. I even found perfect garage cabinets that were reasonably priced. I was able to customize the vanity and top that I needed for my bathroom! The laminate counter tops that they offer are of MUCH better quality that what I saw at Home Depot and also reasonably priced! It takes a minute to figure out they're system but they were very helpful. We placed our order with Jose, paid for it, and then they send you to another area where they inbox it, let you inspect it, reward it and load

There is still a line outside the door to get in but once you are in it is same as normal. The most complete place you as a homeowner can go to purchase cabinets. They have many different styles and they will sell them to you in pieces or in sets. All of the prices are available right at the display no mood to wait or email for particular pricing. If you purchase anything they will load it for you BUT the buyer is responsible for strapping it down. Just like a lot of these type of stores All sales are final NO RETURN or EXCHANGE plus they are still cash or check also debit. NO CREDIT.

They have a huge selection of kitchen and bath cabinets and countertops and a range of quality levels. It's mostly the quality of the big orange home store but they specialize in "take it now" product. It's great if you need popular sizes, but a less common size counter is very hard to find. For example, if you need a 54" vanity, you may find a few, but you have to search them out. If you need a 48" or 60" it's easy to find.
Give yourself time to walk the building and find the size and style you are looking for. It may take a couple of hours unless you know exactly what you need.

Love this place!
I came on an unlucky day when a power transformer out on the main road had gone out. The entire block had no electricity.
No problem for BSI! They were working hard to make sure everyone still got what they needed.
The workers made sure to confirm all of the pieces were in perfect condition, then they loaded everything into my car for me.
My new cabinets are gorgeous.
I’m a customer for life now.
