My sister and I have worked with Scripps Poway Fence multiple times over the years to install and repair fencing at our home in Rancho Penasquitos. So when my Mom's fence needed replacement, I reached out to Ron for a quote in the Fall of 2020. They were extremely busy so I had to wait for a while, but I got an appointment and Ron gave me a quote. My Mom's fence was literally ready to fall over, and it almost did in the bad winds that we had in January. The team came out in late January and they got to work. We replaced both sides of the fence, two gates and some lattice work around

SPF replaced a 90 ft cedar plank fence for myself and next door neighbor. There were a few issues we discovered after the install, mainly due to the fence being on a slope with differing ground level between the two yards and also changing from all planks on one side to a "good neighbor" design with alternating sections. Ron came out the very next day with his crew in tow, was completely agreeable and all of the issues were corrected. The quality of the planks, framing, metal posts and overall installation is good. My old wooden fence blew down during a Santa Ana wind storm. Ron had his team out within a day. They temporarily fixed my fence so I would have a fence while waiting for the material order for the new vinyl fence I selected. The new fence looks great. I'm writing this review 3 years later because of the customer service. There was a small issue with one of the fence posts due to settling. I contacted Ron and he had his team come out within a week. While at my home they not only fixed the issue but checked the entire fence line for any issues and made adjustments as needed no questions

Ron and his team of Jose,Armando,Carlos and Angel did a fantastic job.They worked hard each day, during the recent heat wave. Each of them is highly skilled. When there was a decision about some appearance, the team asked my preference. They always wore a mask when I spoke with them.
The price was better than two others and reasonable.

This is the third time I've used Scripps/Poway, and the end result is the same...a job well done. This time Ron, Carlos, Angel and team created and installed an ornamental iron gate along with some stub fences. There was one issue (not really their "fault"), but the team jumped on it and helped me remedy it promptly. In my experience, the team at Scripps Poway is professional, competent and customer focused.

I highly recommend Scripps-Poway Fencing as your "Go To" company for all your fencing needs. The owner of the company, Ron Heater, delivered quality workmanship and honest work ethics. Their free on site estimate, service, scheduling, final completion and follow up were all conducted in a very reliable manner. Our fence job was a tough job at a large residential house located in northern San Diego.

I've been a contractor for over 30 years. Ron came out, gave me an estimate that was 30% below the closest bid and I got 4 estimates. They sent out Jose and Armando who worked with me to make sure I agreed with the lay out. Jose made some recommendations which I agreed on, at no extra charge. They finished job as planned they charged exactly what the contract said. I'm very happy with the job.

Truly disappointed. Called for a quote for our fence since he had replaced some neighbors' fences. He indicated that most of the wood and posts were in good shape so it really just needed to be repaired. When the quote came back at about 1/2-2/3 of what our neighbors paid to REPLACE their fences, we went ahead with it. I was stunned by the horrible "repair" when the team said they were finished and had no more materials to replace obviously rotten wood. After going back and forth with Ron, he came by to walk through the project and agreed to do further repairs at no additional charge

If I could give this company a Zero for their customer service, I would. I'd contacted Ron to attempt to schedule a consult for our new fence. He emailed me requesting a 9am Saturday morning appointment, which I said we could not make. We exchanged emails discussing a possible time Saturday afternoon, but he never got back to me to finalize a time. Then he proceeded to send his estimator to my house at 9am on a Saturday when I had clearly told him that time didn't work. His guy knocked persistently at my door for a long time, so I finally answered the door, and seeing it was the fence

We have used this company for wood fences on two of our houses. Both were large projects with gates, and irregular shaped yards. Both projects went smoothly with no delays. We had over 400' of cedar fencing we needed replaced. Some had lattice on top, some was just dog eared. Ron's prices were very fair. His crew did all of the work in about 5 days with no issues. Just getting contractors out to price the job was a job in itself. Ron came out the following day and followed up with his quote 2 days later. Once we gave a small deposit he scheduled the job to start within 2 weeks.

Once we saw the quality of their work, we had them build two wood fences - one to hide our pool equipment and one to hide our A/C unit. Both fences turned out amazing. We have 2.5 acres and will absolutely be calling these guys back to add a fence around the whole property. Great work team!!

I had a wooden fence and gate installed by Scripps Poway Fencing. The installation was substandard. For example, many of the wooden slats were cracked, split, and with many knot holes. Although the fence was to be "dog tight", many areas were not. The bottoms of the wooden slats also are different lengths. The fence also is not sturdy.
At the first wind in san diego, the gate was ripped off of the post. However, the company refused to repair the post and gate for approximately 6 weeks. Therefore, I had to find someone to repair and replace the gate. Overall, the work was substandard

Had these guys replace the exterior fence on my new house. The old one was falling down. They did a fantastic job. It looks great and even the neighbors told me how great it looks. I had them come back and do a little custom white picket fence around the front porch and it looks great too. Highly recommended. Will use them again.
