Oahu Tree /works was my lowest bid and was Jon was very accommodating to getting my trees cut and trimmed. The two manned crew arrived which I thought would have been a three man job. They both did an awesome job, the tree was cut down a bit much more than I thought it was going to be, but great job.

We have had work done on trees at our home in Waimanalo a number of times. This job was a major job on our iron wood trees. The trees were nearly 100 feet high and out-of-control. While we received bids from a number of companies, a couple opted not to bid because of the difficulty of the project. We ended up contracting with Oahu Tree Works. We knew his company had contracts with the state and did highly technical and refined work at Foster Botanical Gardens and the International Market Place as well as for many beautiful homes throughout Oahu.

This is the best, most professional company I've hired to work on our protected banyan tree the past 40+ years. The trimmers are all experienced and well-trained, not just 20-something pickups. Jon runs a great operation. I'm an arborist in Los Angeles and admire the work his company does. He's passionate about trees and quality tree care. They came out and trimmed my mango tree, and actually did a pretty good job. When I called him back two years later, he remembered my mango tree and we set an appointment to meet at my north shore house.
When the date came i had to take off work to drive up to the North Shire to meet with him, however he did not show up at our agreed upon time.
When i called him to see if he was late, Jon said he "got busy and forgot to call..."
Then Jon joked about missing our previously agreed upon appointment thinking it was no big deal that I had to take off work to drive an hour to go meet him

I contacted Jon, the owner, based on the recommendation of the state's pioneering arborist and charter member of Aloha Arborist Association. I needed a company that was good at climbing to help me with a very large and old African Tulip at my work. The tree is surrounded by our business, another business and a home. There was no margin for error in lowering the cuttings. Jon was very professional from beginning to end. They did a great job on pruning the tree which needed a lot of work. John and his crew worked on three large trees in front of my home. It was a tough location. Old narrow street with lots of traffic, slope, and very tall trees. They did a fantastic job organizing and did not impose upon anyone on my block. Their clean up work was great. And of course the work result was wonderful. I was actually going to hire them to remove the trees. John pointed out their value. Now that the work is done, I can see what he means. Saved a few trees and helped my property value and my privacy. I just had Oahu Tree Works do a fairly large trimming of some large (banyan) and small (koa) trees in our yard. Jon's estimate for the work to be done was very fair and he was willing to work with me the day of the job. His crew (Charlie, Doug, and Taylor) did a fantastic job paying great attention to detail and doing a terrific job of clean up after. It was money well-spent. Taylor and George just finished up our huge job we had for them. This is our second time using this company.
These guys worked non stop on our property all day, were so professional and listened to all my requests even when I can be a pain!! It looks fabulous. We are always pleased with everything when they leave and our palms and other various trees look great. I couldn't recommend them more highly and will continue to always use them in the future. Wow, what an incredible crew. Of the three bidders, Oahu Tree Works came in a little higher than the lowest bid but I felt confident and wanted to work with this company. I was so impressed with the professionalism of Audrey during the walk through and the speedy written proposal, that I recommended them to the Association Board of Directors. They did not disappoint. I later found out that Audrey was also one of the climbers and has awards for climbing in the US. Who knew there was such a thing. I will hire them again to do future arbor work.

Oahu Tree Works recently trimmed my neighbor's giant banyan tree which was greatly impacting our yard. Hats off to Jamilee and her crew for doing a great job at balancing a difficult situation. She was courteous and professional and kept a smile on her face.
They did a good job keeping me informed and cleaning up after the trimming. I would hire this company in a heart beat to take care of additional trimming or trimming on some of my job sites. Again...very nice people to work with - all was done in a professional manner. We appreciated it.
