Orrin and company were very responsive in coming out to give us an estimate for removing five trees from our backyard. He seem knowledgeable, competent and easy to work with. He gave us a competitive bid and promptly scheduled the work for just a few days later. His crew was polite, professional and friendly. They did a great job, including being very thorough in removing the root systems in addition to the trees. Many large rocks were embedded in the base and roots of the trees. In order to grind the tree stumps, Orrin's team broke down the rocks and removed them at no additional cost

Unfortunately, after a great start helping me w/free suggestions, he never followed through. Two calls unanswered and then when I finally got him he said to call HIM back because he was so busy. Hey, I already called twice Orin? His referred yard trim clean up guy never returns me calls either. I wasted a lot of time and really wanted to hire him but he just never followed through!

We were looking at pruning our mango and jabong trees. Excellent service and work. Orrin is wonderful and gave us a ton of advice on care for the trees too. He is also certified. No pressure sales. Pruning to create a lower canopy so it will be easier to pick mangos in the future. They did not trim it to the point of being barren too. He really showed his knowledge and concern for the trees. They also cleaned up taking all the debris with them even blowing all the dust too.
We will definitely continue to use Malama Trees in the future and highly recommend them to everyone.

Orrin and his crew were awesome! He came out to check out our old mango tree that hasn't produced any fruit in a few years. He talked with us about tree care and what we can do to help it thrive! He truly cares about trees and educated my family and I about how we can take better care of our trees and ground. They ended up coming to do some mild pruning and delivering a truckload of nice compost. The service was quick and efficient. I called Malama Tree Care on the recommendation of a friend. We needed to trim back a large monkeypod tree overhanging our roof and driveway. Although not inexpensive, we felt that the size of the job and technical nature of the project warranted professional care and experience. The crew clearly worked well together, communicating safety, technical skill, and good humor. We will absolutely use them again!

Orin is great! The leaves on our 50-year old lychee tree were covered in black spots and turning yellow. We thought the tree needed pruning. He said that the tree didn't need pruning (turned down $!) and explained that it was caused by insects and could be cured with a special fertilizer that any hardware store would have.

Came out to give me a quote on a tree removal on a tree I believed needed to be removed immediately.
I was informed that the tree did not require immediate removal but was given a quote I believed to be fair.
He also provided some other recommendations.

We had 3 different company look at our mango tree that needed to some trimmings, of course we got 3 different prices. Orrin at Malama tree care did not give us the lowest price that we could afford but because he made the biggest impression we chose them.. Orrin stopped by to take a look at our mango tree and showed us that he really cared and is very knowledgeable about what he does. And mostly enjoys what he does. His team showed up on the dot and was done in less than 2 hours. Besides couple mango tree leaves that he left behind ( I had to clean up after) I would recommend Orrin and his team

Awesome service! Quick response and quote and quick to come out to do the work. Crew was knowledgeable and was very safe. My palm trees was very heavy loaded with coconuts and I was worried about a leaning tree over the road. They started with that and safely trimmed it without any problems. All trees are nicely cut back and the clean up was immaculate! I would recommend this company and it's excellent crew to any of my friends.

Knowledgeable and informative. Expedient and friendly service. These are some of the words that come to mind when I think of Malama Tree Care. We had an invasive tree presenting a potential hazard to an overhead electrical line. I called Orrin for a consult and his crew addressed the issue immediately providing our family with peace of mind....they even left some mulch for the chicken coop and yard.
