If I could give this company 100 stars I would! This is the ONLY plumber we will use from now on. We had an issue with our plumbing on the day before Thanksgiving. We were so stressed out because we figured we would never be able to get someone to come and fix it. From the BEST customer service person EVER (Nikki) , to the fact that they delivered and came through when no one else would even call back, this company is TOP NOTCH. Gene-D Plumber deserves the great reputation he has for his great service and honesty. He sent a top expert plumber who replaced the very old, worn out parts very quickly. He already had the right parts with him to fix the toilet because his friendly and helpful administrator Nikki had asked me what kind of toilet it was. 1st time customer. We bought a new washer/dryer unit for our condo from Best Buy. Turns out we didn't have the correct venting setup for Best Buy to install the unit, and we were missing an electrical outlet too, so we called Gene to get the installation done. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and they found us a good electrician on top of the plumbing work. They made a really frustrating situation a lot easier on us. We would absolutely use them again for future plumbing work.

I called and described a simple repair asking for an estimate. However the receptionist was extremely rude. She flat out said they don't give estimates on the phone and will charge $150 to make a service call. In other words, they want $150 just to come over and then will give an estimate.
Extremely unprofessional. Every other plumber gave me an estimate. I had a very simple issue and not a multi-thousand repair job. No one wants to pay $150 just to get an estimate for a simple repair.

I have used Gene D Plumber for various issues including a leaky sink, loose toilet, and maintenance on my tankless water heater. Most times it is Bo that has come to our home, and both him and Gene are professional, friendly, thorough, and clean up very well after their work is done.
Most recently I noticed there was a leak under my bathroom sink and for outside reasons had a very short timeline to get it fixed. Bo was able to come that afternoon and not only fix the leak but remove an obstruction that was causing the sink to drain slower (that we didn't even know was there)

We had two appointments with them, both of which they were a no-show for. They didn't even bother to call with a notice. I have no idea where all these positive reviews come from. I suggest you find someone else who will at least actually show up or have the decency to apologize for wasting your time.

Had Bo come by earlier to fix my shower diverter because I had been to numerous hardware stores around the area that said they didn't have the kind of diverter I needed--pipe was too big and soldered on. Bo had the right sized diverter, which is great, but when it was time to pay he was very insistent on a check. The Yelp page advertises that Gene-D Plumber takes card, which something I prefer for added protection (and air miles). I love love love these guys. This is my third time using them. They had replaced my water heater, repaired a leaking drain, and repaired shower. Every single time they were always professional, communicated to me what needed to be done, and billed me fairly. I highly recommend these guys. It is so hard to find reliable plumbers, esp ones that charge fairly. These guys are fantastic.

I can only rate the estimate process. Upon calling the receptionist informed my husband that they don't come out to do estimates. Then later in the conversation she said they will come to do estimates but an estimate costs $75. We are gathering estimates for a $5k+ job and hadn't encountered this with any other area plumbers so if you are in need of an estimate, be advised that they charge for it.

Bo came yesterday to fix a leak under my kitchen sink. He was very thorough in determining where the leak was coming from and even found a small secondary leak coming from the faucet. He took it upon himself to contact Koehler on my behalf and has ordered a whole new replacement faucet which is covered under their warranty saving me lot of hassle. He also tied up the faucet hose so it doesn't get in the way of my new glide out shelves!
Only negative is that I had to wait more than a week for the apt but I am happy I waited!

Had a showerhead that's been dripping water for over a year. Finally decided to get a professional to come and take a look. Called Gene-D based on yelp reviews and the service was as expected.

I'm a contractor from New York trying to help out my son with a kitchen renovation on his new place. Needed a plumber in a pinch to replace two broken water valves right away to continue my work. Gene showed up late in the day to get us secured for the night. Francisco followed with a scheduled water shut down and repair. Being in a multi unit building, this is not an easy process to schedule. I found Gene-D on Yelp based on overwhelming reviews from previous customers. The entire process, from my reaching out via Yelp, Veronica's responses, and Bo and Gene's great work all went very well. I am aware that I am a lay person in this area so my comment might not be right, the pricing of the replaced water heater was somewhat out of the range of a residential situation. However, I appreciated that Bo and Gene took a really close look of the water heater and worked meticulously to reach the result I wanted. Bo also took this opportunity to clean up some of wiring and tubes connected

I've had bad experiences in the past with plumbers in Hoboken, so when my toilet and shower were having issues, I dreaded finding someone to fix the problem. I read reviews online and Gene D Plumber had very positive reviews on Yelp. Veronica was very friendly and helpful. Bo came the same day and not only fixed the problem, but now my shower has amazing water pressure! Very happy with the whole experience.

My hot water heater was leaking so I called Gene "D" Plumber and Veronika scheduled an appointment within a half hour. She got two guys out and they replaced everything the same day. Bo and Jacob explained all my options and gave me a fair price. Very maticulius, clean, courteous, and fast. I've been through a bunch of different plumbers in Hoboken and they were al miserable. It was refreshing to see some people who care about their craft.

Finding a good plumber in Hoboken that you can trust and won't charge an arm and a leg is pretty tough. I had a clog in my tub and Gene D Plumber was able to send someone THAT DAY at a time that was convenient to me due to my work schedule. Veronica (the woman who deals with scheduling and billing) couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating. Also, billing was so easy to deal with (they take credit cards and you can pay them online!)
The plumber they sent was very professional and my tub was unclogged within 15 minutes, not to mention that he was very careful to not leave a mess.

Called them to replace my water heater and shower faucet. They showed up on time, did estimate, suggested comparable prices. I decided to hire them for work. They replaced heater with no problem and in very timely manner. Took them little bit longer with shower faucet and they have to revisit later to do some minor tweaks. Overall i'm pleased with quality of work, prices and timely fixes.
