Campbell Fencing has been a staple of southeast Portland since the early 1950's when Roscoe Campbell opened the storefront on S.E. 82nd Ave which was the original face of our business. Following the death of Mr. Campbell in 1975, the business was purchased by brothers Daryl and Arnie Mulick who had worked for Campbell's since their youth.
Over the years, all ages of family have been the faces behind the desk whether they be taking orders, loading lumber, or installing fences. Daryl and Arnie have since retired and Campbell's has passed down to still another generation. Mike and his assistant worked steadily and efficiently, doing their best to protect LOTS of plants that had been growing against the old fence.
Mike kept me apprised of their progress and finished the job on time. I'm thrilled with the finished product! The fence looks really great, the gates work effortlessly, and I expect the new fence to last years longer than my old fence did. Mike also assured me that, unlike wood gates, my new steel gates would always operate reliably-something I could never count on with my old gates!

Mike and partner were excellent. Mike responded to my original inquiry promptly. He came out to measure and check out the site within a couple of days. Mike was very nice, respectful and paid close attention to what I was asking.
The quality of the work to build the fence was excellent. They showed up on time and worked hard both days. The final product was exactly what we asked for, and then some. Mike saw a couple of things he could do to make our project even better and he did them.

Mike, the owner, and the gentleman who works with him, did a wonderful job on my fences and gates! Definitely beyond my expectations in every way: great communication, very fair pricing, quality fences... and lots of extra help figuring out what would work in a few tricky areas. These guys really know what they're doing.

Mike was absolutely stellar to work with, I needed a 4' chain fence removed and replaced with a 6' cedar fence and within hours i got a quote back from him and 2 weeks later he came out and completed the fence for me. Even during Covid! i'm so happy with the way it turned out. Thanks Mike!

Mike was prompt to respond and come out for a quote to my initial project. His prices were better than other bids and he was able to get the gate I wanted installed done quickly and the finished product was beautiful! I have Mike and his team now working on a second project. They do quality work and make sure I get exactly what I want. I decided to look into Campbell Fencing because of their great Yelp! reviews, and boy, am I glad I did. Not only did their estimate come in 20-25% below the other two offers I received, but I was really impressed by both the insight from the fellow who runs the office (he gave me great advice about the different types of fence they sell) and Mike. Mike and a co-worker had my old fence down and the new one up in about six hours over two days a few days apart. The new fence posts have metal rods that run two feet into the ground, so my new posts won't rot. Getting a fence replaced is expensive

Mike came out and made a bid on a fence we share with a neighbor. Very courteous and professional. We went with Campbell Fencing because of the very positive Yelp reviews and are very glad we did. He was easy to work with and made revisions we requested. Work was done expeditiously using good quality lumber. We went with his suggestion that we consider galvanized metal posts and are very glad we did. All in all, we are very happy campers and the fence looks great.

I wish all businesses were as professional, skilled, and easy to work with as Campbell Fencing! Mike gave us our first bid over a year ago, kindly worked with us through numerous revisions due to changes to the scope over the following months, and never made us feel like we were a giant pain (although I know it had to be annoying). When we were finally able to move forward with the project (our delay, not Campbell's), Mike still remembered all the details we discussed a year prior. We went with this company because it was recommended to us by a friend who builds fences professionally - and that's the word I would use to describe the quality of the material they sell. The wood was really reasonably priced and is absolutely beautiful. Perfectly straight, no dry rot or cracks up the length. Also, the guys who work there are super helpful - explained how to put together the gate and how to care for the fence. I really hope great little businesses like this stick around.

Campbells was a great help in assisting me to build a new driveway gate. I came here never having built a gate before, and with the help and excellent advice of the owner, was able to build a beautiful quality 12 foot wide gate for my driveway. The cost for the gate kit and hardware was very reasonable and the materials were completely superior to what you could get at a big box store. They custom made a gate for my project at no additional cost. My gate went up easily and works perfectly. I highly recommend Campbells if you need to build a gate or fence and need materials.

I went with this company because of the history of there business and their past customer satisfaction. They came out gave me an estimate for a private fence with a private driveway gate. The price was very reasonable so I went with them and just had them set the posts and purchased the rest of the materials from them which they delivered that same day. The quality of the product they used and brought me I give it a 5 star rating! Wood was very clean and not warped.
