Guardian Construction, Inc. is a certified 8(a) Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB), serving the federal government across the United States. As a licensed general building and engineering contractor, we complete work for the private and public sectors, performing design-build / new construction, interior and exterior renovations, and infrastructure upgrades on both vertical and horizontal construction applications.
Through regular communication with base personnel and coordination with subcontractors, Guardian completed this $116K project on time despite harsh winter conditions. This project included the installation of new disconnect panels, transformers, and transmission lines on recently erected aircraft shelters.
The mezzanine Guardian Construction is replacing for this $1.9M project sits in the center of a large production building and serves as a security wall separating the south half of the building into secure and non-secure sides. The location of the work area for this $1M project has several unique challenges, including the proximity to high-voltage electrical distribution equipment and power lines, the limited access for hoisting equipment, and the proximity to the Kootenai River directly below. The Libby Dam Powerhouse roof consists of 9 separate bays, each approximately 4,700 SF, and an additional 4 lean-to roof areas, each approximately 500 SF.
The job site required a winter shutdown from October to April. Construction resumed during one of the wettest springs in 30 years. Due to the client's fixed move-in date, no additional time extensions for inclement weather were feasible, and Guardian Construction delivered this $938K project on time, as promised.
