Your property's gate is an important part of keeping your home or commercial establishment secure, as long as it works reliably. A gate that's slow, noisy, or suffers from repeated issues is a potential security and safety risk, and needs to be repaired by professionals so that its problems are dealt with effectively.
If your automatic gate isn't moving, or moves when you don't want it to, then you most likely have a problem with the opener. This device - sometimes known as the operator - uses its electric motor to pull, push, or lift your gate open. There several different types of these devices, each with its own unique operation style and potential failure points.
To give your home or business an extra edge in terms of security and curb appeal, your driveway gate should have certain attributes. It needs to be strong and durable, but also visually appealing so that visitors - whether guests or customers - would be impressed as soon as they notice it. This would most likely be the first thing they notice, so it's important to make a good first impression.
Being able to talk to people who arrive at your gate and choose whether or not to admit them without having to leave the safety and comfort of your home is a major convenience. That's what an intercom system can allow you to do. It will help you get the most out of your automatic gate, but only if it's working properly.

Steve at D-Fence installed a manual rolling gate for me. I found out after he did the work that there were company's around that would've done the work for cheaper. I should've shopped it around more, but I was at least happy with the gate. About a month later a big storm came through and the wind blew the gate so hard that it came off the track, and then the track came out of the ground and got twisted up. Upon close inspection, the track had not actually been ripped out of the ground, it had simply come off the anchors because the nuts had either backed off completely, or weren't ever installed

I wish I could rate D-Fence with a zero..I had an electric gate installed last May for $2200.00. The gate would not work when it rain/snow, I called Steve to get another remote and I would pay for it. He said okay and he would check on the gate. He told me that he made an adjustment but the gate would not work in rainy or snowy weather. I told him what good is an automatic gate if it does not work in bad weather. He said "that happens with these kind of gates. I myself solved the gate operating in inclement weather, by modifying a sensor.
After that the gate still malfunction. I called Steve repeatedly

Found Steve at D-fence on a home advisor site and he installed our automatic gate 10/2016. Today is the 10th consecutive day I called him after our gate has not functioned properly and I also called him a few times. Now it will not open at all and he hasn't returned my call or text. I guess he is out of business? What I don't like is this is the 3rd issue I have had and I feel like I have to chase him to get it right.

I wish I could have given 0 stars. I had the exact same experience as the other user that posted similar issue. We found Steve on AngiesList and engaged him to install the electric gate for us. He installed the Viking Gate (Model K2) and sold me on it versus the LiftMaster. The gate never worked properly and intermittently stopped working. This was a rental property, so it was even more chaotic scheduling and doing DIY diagnostics.
Anyways, this gate came with a 5 year residential warranty. I contacted Steve several times for our scheduled appointment after waiting for week and a half only to

They do put up a fence and most of the gadgets, but fail to follow through. Had agreed to have extra post put up, but they never came through with it, I had payed ahead of time as well, with the promise that they would get it going, never happened. Keep having continuous issues with the 2 commercial size gates they put up. If you are planning to use them, be wary of their commitment to following through and expect issues to arise in the future, adding an extra loss to your pockets.

ZERO STARS! RUN!!!! Do NOT hire this company! This guy, Mr. Baker is a fraud. He was paid every penny ($10,000!!) he charged to do a huge job for us and left it UNFINISHED. He never answered or returned our calls for any resolution. Oh, and Home Advisor is a joke to deal with as well. They said they would pay a contractor to fix it if we couldn't get any resolution. Ha! Turns out, that was a lie as well. $10,000 PEOPLE!!!! IT'S DISGUSTING!
