Our total remodel couldn’t have come out better! Thanks to Josie at The Home Index. She took a very dated 1970 lake house and turned it into our dream house! Couldn’t have done it without there decorating services. Very professional and easy to work with.

I guess it means if your not poor you can afford something there? Prices are high. I don't get it.

This place will put you in the poor house. Walked in, saw the prices, walked right on out. No thanks.

Shrimp and grits were amazing. So was the andouille sausage. Beignets we're okay - too cakey. But the live blues band was awesome outside on the patio on Friday night. We will be back for more live music and dancing!!!

So chic! If you have a chance to visit this store, I highly recommend. The atmosphere feels like you've walked into a little slice of window-shopping heaven, with little details everywhere you turn. The owner has an eye for creativity with the perfect touch of femininity that makes you want to go home and change everything! Completely inspiring, there is not one boring nook in the entire store, every square inch is covered with playful items that have been intricately placed with a designers touch. A bit pricey, but you will definitely get lost in all the cuteness. Lots of ideas, great

Absolutely love this place. Giving 4 instead of 5 stars because the hours are a bit wrong... actually NOT open Sunday which this, the website, and Google says it is (from 10-5). Still love the place though, just wish it was open after driving to a closed store! Was really looking forward to checking it out after hearing about the Oxbow location closing.

Poor House now has two locations at the Oxbow Public Market. One is the original on McKinstrey Street which has been posted on Yelp. Called the Home & Gift store, that original store is in a single story building across a parking lot from Fatted Calf.

This second location, called Tabletop & Gift, is inside the main Oxbow Public Market Building, giving it a 1st Street address. I was at both shops and it was the one inside the market that captured my attention for the lovely things there. Beautiful items like Simon Pearce crystal glassware, Vietri dishware, Coleur table linens and ceramics
