Company founder Joshua Lambert, was said to be "a man who possessed a heart large enough for all, and who was ever doing in his quiet way all he could to better the condition of all who came into his life." Following his passing in 1902, the remaining owners of the company, Nelson J. Clayton, Charles R. Lambert, Bert Lambert, and John E. Lambert, promised to "continue the business in such a manner as will tend to make it a credit to his memory."

Very poor customer service and product. I initially sought out Clayton & Lambert pool product in search of a higher quality pool. John Lambert was quick to respond on the sales request and with a list of recommended contractors. I used their product and a contractor from the list supplied by John Lambert. Less then a year after their product was installed it showed considerable amount of rust on their stainless-steel pool panels. Clayton & Lambert never returned any calls or e-mails with concerns about their product after the sale. The pictures attached to the review show their product
